Prophet of Bogan

STRENGTHS
Despite the relative success of the Massassi fighter in the ranks of the Wonosan Starfighter Corps, their many engagements against pirates and smaller corporate flotillas in the Outer Rim began to display the limits of the more general purpose craft. Particularly in the realms of reconnaissance and anti-fighter capability. In search of a solution the Wonosan engineers and those of the Inquisition of Faldos set to work examining existing Interceptor and Space Superiority Fighters in order to begin preparations for their own line of starfighters.
Several common design elements began emerging and soon enough the first handful of prototype Tyros had been produced. Their weapon loadout was originally standard laser cannons with missile launchers but Darth Strosius intervened after the first test flights and, while impressed with the design, declared that the fighter was lacking in terms of heavier firepower. The reasoning being that heavier starfighters and smaller craft would also be targets of the Tyro but given their fairly limited loadout at the time such other crafts would be difficult to counter, so the engineers went back to the drawing board but quickly found a solution.
Swapping out one pair of the laser cannons for a heavier variant was an easy enough decision but after acquiring some particle beam cannons off of the black market the designers decided that a more unique weapon such as that would be perfect for additional firepower. In order to compensate for the new weaponry S-Foils were added to aid in overheating as well as for better maneuverability, and with that the Tyro Interceptor entered into wider produciton.

STRENGTHS
- Bane of Small Craft: From other starfighters to smaller shuttles and light freighters, the armaments of the Tyro are meant to shred and destroy most smaller craft with ease. The laser cannons alone are formidable but the missile launchers and the particle beam cannon add extra destructive capabilities which are intended to crack into even the toughest of armor.
- Sensors are Suite: In order to better engage in their role as Interceptors and Space-Superiority Fighters, the Tyros are equipped with a fairly respectably sensor package meant both for assault and defense so that they can hunt with ease while avoiding being hunted in return.
- Light in Flight: To keep the ship as maneuverable and as fast as possible without the need for additional or stronger engines that would drain the smaller power output even more, the hull of the Tyro is fairly thin and even hollow in some spots. The deflector shield is the primary defense for this reason as most weaponry would pierce into the hull without too much issue otherwise.
- Ion Averse: Due to both its heavy reliance on shields and advanced sensor systems, ion and emp attacks are very effective against the Tyro. The pilot could quickly be left with nothing but their own skills after a few well placed ion shots or after being too close to an emp blast, making the ship more of a quick tomb than a starfighter in such an instance.
