On the sun scorched sand dunes of Tattooine, its twin suns Tatoo I and II spin behind her as the sand falls off her shoulders. Leaning over a baby, she leans in quickly to cover its eyes, and whispers...

"We shall call him Tywinn" as she lays him down into his flying hover pod as she steps away.

"We will make sure he's taken care of, ma'am. Your sacrifice will be paid back in full." says the shadowed character.




Mandalore was once a bustling planet, full of powerful warriors, armor smiths and commerce, reduced to almost rubble after the Great Betrayal.

Rewinding twenty years, Tywinn has been transported to Mandalore, sold to a small mercenary group from his poor parents back on Tattooine. Soon after arriving, he was pushed towards the Mandlore military, but instead found his passion and love for smithing. Beskar, the ore of Mandalore, a beautiful malleable ore that signifies the true dedication all Mandalorians have.

As Tywinn grew, his love for smithing continued. Heat always permeated his rooms, his hands calloused, and back built in front of a cryo-forge. No Beskar bar ever stood in his way for long, requiring such intense, calculated, and focused heating and forming. Not known for being the best smith, Tywinn started his apprenticeship on Mandalore in the year 860 ABY, at the age of 11. Tywinn was known by many for knowing so many languages due to his apprenticeship, where his Master dealt in smuggling, and trade routes.

"The quickest way to make a buck is to take someone else" said his older smithing Master

"Yes sir, but what if they are Mandalorians?" says Tywinn

"You will never be in that situation as long as I'm around" he said as he knelt down to pat Tywinn on the back

"Hey, I'm going to be a great smith one day, and a great warrior!" screeched Tywinn as he jumped onto a chair, water gun in hand to resemble a real gun

"There will be a great warrior one day who will bring Mandalore to the top of the world, maybe that one is you"

"There is NO ONE who will stop me" exclaims Tywinn, as he attempts to jump, missing and crashing towards the floor

"Foundling, we must always remember... Mandalore is our home, and our sole goal is to protect it, and our family. Don't forget that." he says as he steps out of the room.

"Ouchhhh." Tywinn says, grabbing his knee and standing up, dust falling from his body.

Tywinn will continue to push himself both physically, but mentally as well over the course of the next few years, until his 16th birthday, where he took pilgrimage to Tattooine, his home world... (To be continued)
