Corvus knew that Ardeo had the basics of Telepathy but he’d shown a strong interest in both using Mind Trick and also defending the mind against a mental attack.

So she decided there was only one place they could go to practice. And she’d agreed to meet him on the steps of the Academy. Not that the area they were going to practice in was close by – far from it. But the walk would allow them to discuss what they needed to, meaning that when they arrived, they could focus only on the task in hand.

For the room she’d chosen was a special one. The one where she’d been taught Telepathy and had used herself for these special lessons.

So she stood in the late morning sun, her eyes closed. Not catching the rays but rather meditating as she waited. She was slightly early after all.

Ardeo walked out of the academy, and out into the warm, and pleasant breeze that had been brought with the morning. He was relieved to finally have a master to study under, and that fact that his master was none other than [member="Corvus Raaf"] the Grandmaster of the temple topped it all of with a bit of awesome. Now Ardeo was very friendly and easy to get along with, but he usually maintained a formal manner around high ranking jedi, or any one other than his friends, which he had plenty of now, but since he didn't know if Corvus preferred formal or casual demeanor from her padawans, he decided to play it safe and go formal, and be corrected rather than informal and look disrespective.

So as he approached master corvus on the steps of the temple, he bowed, his white silver hair falling over his shoulders, his padawan braid, and pony tail mixed in with the rest of his fairly long hair. He was considering cutting it, to keep it out of the way in combat, but hadn't gotten around to it. "Good morning Master Raaf. I look forward to our lesson today." even as formal as it sounded, Ardeo presented himself well, and being good with speech, sounded well spoken. as he came up from his bow, his emerald green eyes, glinted in the sun's white rays, making them shine like the true gemstones they resembled.

Ardeo had come with his two lightsabers on his right hip, and a small cinch sack on his left, attached to his belt. It had some water and food, other than the ration tubes all jedi had. He was truly excited to learn this technique. He would be able to combat his greatest enemies invasion of the mind technique. Ardeo thought back to long ago when he had asked about defending against it in the meditation class corvus had lead. It seemed like only yesterday.

Corvus bowed as Ardeo approached. She was that odd balance of formal and informal. She’d stopped using people’s titles all the time – although it took about five years on Ossus to get to that point – but bowing was so ingrained she couldn’t stop if she wanted – which to be fair she didn’t. It was about respect after all, not seniority.

“Good morning my Padawan. I shall most commonly call you Ardeo, but I like to change my mind. And you may call me Corvus by all means. It is your choice. We are both Jedi and will no doubt teach each other things as we progress, so have no concept of hierarchy here. I am just lucky enough to have already had someone teach me the things I’m about to teach you.”

She walked inside the Academy now, heading to the ‘special’ room. “You asked me to teach you about defending the mind, which we’ll do and we can brush up on Telepathy and the Mind Trick whilst we’re at it. So as we walk, tell me what you already know, so I don’t bore you with details of stuff you already understand.” She smiled at him and kept a brisk pace as they walked.
