Hi, I guess. I'm new Star Wars RP, but I've done Harry Potter RP for a little more than a year. I did have this idea for a first character.

I want to create this Force-Sensitive girl who doesn't really know about the Force because her father (a Jedi Knight or something like that, I haven't worked out the details).

I've been debating ways for her to find out, like maybe she runs into some other Force users and they offer to train her or something? She'd be young enough since I'm planning on having her only be about eight (is that young enough? Gosh, I have to brush up on some research).

ANYWAYS, do you guys think that idea's any good? Would any of you like to help me out with it? (if so, don't be afraid to come talk to me).

As a certain other notorious member of the site is fond of saying, we're more or less a sandbox. There are kids or beings centuries old. One of the constants is that everyone starts from the Padawan rank unless transferring rank from elsewhere. Your story could work, I encourage you to develop it further.

Questions are good, welcomed, and STRONGLY encouraged. I'm sure someone will pop up eventually to point out the various tabs up near the top right of the main page. A common quote is that they are "your friend", which is quite true.

It takes a little time to adjust to navigating around here, but you'll get it. I mean, if -I- can do it, ANYONE can.

As far as I am aware, there really isn't a strict ruling on how young you have to be too be discovered and taken as a padawan. Ryn'Dhal here was taken on at the ripe age of 16. So 8, if you so desire, is fine.
