- Comfort: Built for long missions over very rough terrain, the truck’s interior and suspension, while utilitarian, is deceptively comfortable.
WEAKNESSES
- Huge: The truck is enormous and extremely heavy, making it difficult to transport, repair and maneuver.
- Expensive: While reliable, the machine is very expensive to repair and maintain.
- Vulnerable: In the event of an attack by unhappy fauna, flora or inhabitants, the truck doesn’t have any dedicated weaponry or many defensive measures to keep it and its crew safe.
- Shield: Despite its size, the truck’s shield generator is unable to utilize its molecular shielding function.
DESCRIPTION
A behemoth of engineering, and big enough to rival the size of small capital ships, the UM-69 Mine Crawler is designed to carry and refine any type of resource mined by the UM-68 Mining Craft. It can carry over a hundred miners, has a massive crew, and several systems help to keep it operating in most environments, no matter how hazardous.
The rigs have made a name for themselves due to their reliability and surprising comfort. Though its also become notorious among those who has to watch it receive tons of materials from the craft destroying their lands.
