Umbrakinesis?

Hey, so I've been at this for a while and there's still one question that remains unanswered to me; is there any form of Umbrakinesis within the Star Wars Universe? We have Fire Shapers, Water Shapers, etc, but is there room amidst all of that for Shadow Shapers? (Is there even such a thing?) - If there is it'd definitely be something I'd have Kara look into... If not I'll just have to stick to illusions.

Thanks in advance.

Not that I'm aware of; just the illusions. I spent a lot of time researching that sorta thing, so unless there's something tucked away in some obscure article I've missed (inb4 someone finds huge article to prove me wrong) you're 'stuck' with illusions.

I was just looking, I honestly could have sworn there was one in the nightsisters/Dathomir magics but it is something else. Illusions are still the best bet though and your already trained for them

Zaiden claims to shape or control Shadows. but thats his claiming. If there isn't any shadow shaping then possibly You could make one.

Now we need a power section in the factory. Ugh

The closest thing to -appear- as if it would be shadow shaping I believe would be a powerful form of Sith Sorcery. I've only ever read about it once, and that was Darth Zannah against Darth Bane for title of DLOTS. She created black tendrils that appeared to be shadow-like, but they were just constructs of the force that destroyed anything they touched.

We'll never have a power section in the factory.

Remember

The Force is Infinite, your ability to use it is not. You can claim to 'control' shadows all you want. I could claim Sarge controls them if I really want, but frankly, he just works with the shadows.

I always thought Sarges force power was to turn females to the gorram resbian side?

Darkweb (Or Tendrils) is SO overpowered that I could never possibly bring myself to use it. It's fine though I'm working things out, I'll stick to Immersion, and keep Shadow as a figurative aspect ^-^

That doesn't count, mostly because there was literally nothing I could do about it. He wrote himself into the room; I had no chance to stop him. I can't type people's posts for 'em; that'd be abuse of my po-....

imma start writing peoples posts for 'em

@[member="Kära Vi'dreya"] - A QUESTION ABOUT ILLUSION! HI!

OK, so.

Je'gan learned to manipulate shadows back in 2003 or so. However, there's no such thing as a shadow -- it's just an absence of light. Shadows literally have no existence, nothing to grab, nothing to manipulate. So 'umbrakinesis' is just another way of thinking about bent-light illusion/photokinetic cloaking. The closest thing to what you're describing is the art and skillset of the Disciples of Twilight (Jedi and Sith once had this art but for the most part it is LONG lost), and the best people to teach you to hide in darkness are (in roughly this order), @[member="Cira"], me or @[member="Coryth Elaris"], and @[member="Zaiden James-Greyson"]. @[member="Aleidis Ijet"] could also give you some pointers.
