Kay awoke with a start, sitting up and gasping for breath as though she had held it for hours. The smells that greeted her were of lush foliage, and it was hot. The air seemed thick, even the gravity was stronger than normal. Or maybe she was just weak. She looked around and saw the bodies of [member="Jim Pehico"] and [member="Farlon Orbit"] as they slept nearby. Both of them had cuts and bruises, their clothing ripped, bloodied and burned in some places. What happened? And where were they? In the mouth of the biggest cave she had ever seen.

With no danger in sight, nor movement, she layed back down as the feeling of lightheadedness began to take over. As she stared up at the immense ceiling of the cave some 200 feet above her, Kay thought back on what she could remember last.

-FLASHBACK-

The Free Lady was just coming out of hyperspace. Kay could feel the ship lurch from inside her quarters, her tea nearly spilling out of her cup when it did so. Jim was piloting her, a new hire after an unfortunate run-in at Kwenn Station. He needed the credits and she needed a pilot, so rather than have him work in the mines, she decided to keep a closer eye on him instead. Perhaps it was partly because of his droid, she wasn't sure. But she had found the pair to be quite amusing.

Seconds later alarms started ringing. Before she could even react, The Free Lady had struck another vessel that had gotten into it's path and she was flown out of her chair. The freighter began to spin and so did she, being thrown from one side of her quarters to the next, along with everything else. At times she was in zero gravity, floating with her possessions, only to come crashing down again. They were getting pulled into the atmosphere of Talasea as the repulsors tried and failed to stabilize the ship. Lightning struck The Free Lady, shorting out some of the electricals. The lights flickered as it continued it's spinning fall.

Another moment of zero gravity occurred, just as Kay tried to reach her door, only to come to a crashing end as she hit the floor with such force that it knocked her unconscious.

-PRESENT-

That was all that she could remember. Talasea. They were on Talasea. But where was the Free Lady? What did they hit? How long had they been there? Was help on it's way? Was everyone okay? All questions that needed answers.

Kay turned to look to her two companions.
"Hey...you awake?"

Jim woke up groggily, he had never seen this place before. Where was he? had he been on a drinking bender? No this was his first day as Lady Kay's pilot, and he remembered a clone wars era clone trooper? No was it? He looked over, it was. everything was still foggy. He looked over to Lady Kay. she was pretty beat and after looking at himself he was pretty beat up too. He looked at his right arm, looks like it's broken. he tucked away his broken wound.

"Nothing but a flesh wound, ma'am." he said with a slight smile.

He got up and took a flask out of his jacket. he needed to take the edge of the pain if he was going to be any help.

At least someone was awake besides herself. She looked to [member="Jim Pehico"] as he got to his feet and had a drink from a flask. "My guess is that isn't tea in there..." Of course it wasn't. No one had an addiction to Sapir tea like she did. Kay slowly sat up, glancing to [member="Farlon Orbit"] and noticing that he had yet to wake up. "What happened? And where's the Free Lady?" With Jim being a pilot, he ought to know.

The remnants of a small campfire was nearby, though it was no longer smoking. Someone obviously had the smarts to pull them out and bring them to relative safety. But who? Maybe it was Farlon. Or it could've been someone else entirely.

At least her rings were still on her, so there was nothing stolen. She didn't want to reach out to her husband yet until she had answers for him.

Jim did a three hundred and sixty degree spin while analyzing the area. hoping he would catch a glimpse of the ship on the horizon.

"Well I don't know, I don't typically drink and fly so I can tell you that." Jim said as his moustache twitched.

Jim reached for his pistol, good at least it was still there. he observed the fauna of the planet. It was unlike anything he had ever seen before.

"Now could you possibly tell me where we are?" Jim asked. For a first day on the job, this was going pretty bad.

Kay just watched [member="Jim Pehico"] as he seemed just as perplexed as she was. His memory of what happened was as bad as hers. But if he didn't bring them here then either it was [member="Farlon Orbit"] or someone else. She hoped that it wasn't the latter.

"Where are we? Talasea I hope. That was where we were supposed to be heading at least." Kay slowly got to her feet, testing to see if anything was broken. So far she just felt stiff and beaten up, but otherwise okay. "If that's where we are, then we're close enough to get help. Are you hurt at all?"
