Not a fan of using his lightsaber, when such can be avoided, Raphael has taken to wielding Force imbued blades, when he can so that he doesn't cause undue damage. Such a weapon can easily be dulled, so that it can be used as a suppression weapon, during less dangerous situations. The blade's composition of songsteel, as the blade itself, allows for ease of use and has a very sharp cutting edge. This allows him to move across a battlefield, when needed, at blistering speeds, swinging the blade in precision cuts and slashes, along with the occasional stab or thrust.
- Due to the blade having been made of songsteel, even without being imbued by the Force, as it is, it would still be able to combat lightsaber based weaponry.
- being Force Imbued, the weapon is able to face off against lightsaber weaponry with relative ease, and can evn cut through various materials.
- As the blade is composed of songsteel, the weapon is able to resist energy based weaponry, for a time, even without the use of the Force.
- The lightweight songsteel materials also make it much easier to swing the blade, allowing for quick movements, evasion and strikes.
- Having been imbued with the Force, in the presence of Force voids or Null stones, the special properties of the weapon will not activate.
- While the blade itself is made of songsteel, the grip is not and could cause the weapon to be rendered relatively useless.
- As it is imbued with the Force, it can be sensed by those attuned to the Force, whether darksiders, lightsiders or those few neutral peoples.
- Due to the thin nature of the blade, it is not useful for reflecting energy bolts, though could be used for simple deflection.
