Belderone System, Kulthis
City of Jaiokan

It would not be an understatement to say the Sullustan never wished to return near this system, nor near the embodiment of the symbol that was the site of many massacres among the Imperials. Kulthis, once a thriving set of cities, has now long sense been desolated into hives of scum and villainy...along with organizations of terrorism and ruthless groups of zealots aimed on destroying societies in the name of their deities. Looking out from the canyon wall, shrouded in the darkness that was among the soft lights of the city. Taking a step forward, he fell forward onto a large speeder truck as it headed directly into the city as his mind reviewed what had occurred.

Several days ago, a group of Stenax, devil looking creatures attacked and massacred a colony of the Empire of the Lost wished to establish on Belderone. While the quick response allowed some of the colonists to survive, many did not and those that survived have long since been evacuated, the colony now abandoned. Of what of the enemy that survived, many did not survive their interrogations with only one breaking under pressure before execution. Their base of operations was in this city, lead by a group of zealots whom worship the Vol deity. Apparently from description, some were led to believe that the Galactic Empire was to be reincarnated, one that led to the destruction of the Colony that was to possibly represent them.

The speeder truck passed over a busy street as the Sullustan rolled off the truck and landed onto an awning, sliding down before landing onto the street. Raising his hood up quickly, he walked forward and placed both hands together. The interrogation also revealed that two people were solely responsible for the incident at large, a priest by the name of Kiao Nalfan, believing that the end times would soon arrive once more unless the Empire of the Lost was removed from the star system entirely. The second was apparently a rogue operative, suspected to be part of either the Sith Order, the Maw or the Galactic Alliance in terms of espionage operations. The description of this one was vague but it was a humanoid with green skin, human face like features with yellow eyes.

The Empire of the Lost wanted the problem resolved and decided to let the Bureau Chief, recently assigned to Imperial Intelligence, to deal with this set of horrific circumstances. Jegy had decided that for the blood spilt, only blood can be spilled back for their actions. Both members that were solely responsible has been black marked and assigned death warrants on the spot, no remorse and to take no prisoners against anyone harboring the fugitives knowingly. While this had gone on, he let out a small set of instructions for any Bounty Hunters that wished to be on the hunt, offering a substantial reward for either of their deaths with proof either from photographic or substantial DNA.

Walking from the side of the alleyway, he started to look upwards towards the large spire area as it was seventeen stories up with a basement of well over twelve stories deep. Both of his targets were on opposites almost in entirely where they were possibly hiding, whether or not he can get to both is unknown. Knowing reinforcements could arrive at any moment, he started to walk inside with himself passing by a Stenax, he knew the job would be very dangerous but he knew that nothing was to stand in the way of what the Emperor once said.

"Those that Attack the Empire, shall be Dealt with only Death."

Objective 1: Kill the Priest
The priest is suspected to be higher up in the spire, having just performed services and attempting to help recruit for their new heretical cause. Many Stenax will be present in the area and stealth may be advisable for the situation.

Objective 2: Kill the Operative
The operative that instigated the whole operation is suspected to be in the lower levels, away from prying eyes. There may be a large contingent of whomever this person was associated with and will be considerably difficult.

Objective 3: BYOO
Do what you wish, be the bounty hunter collecting a bigger reward, maybe extract them before their deaths are complete. Run in with a mercenary company from another massacre that occurred elsewhere to get their own vengeance. Just have fun!

Tella had already entered the Jaoikan spire before the Inqusitor, having been sent there to both learn from and observe the Inquisitor in action by her mother. She was not wearing her customary white robes this time: she was instead dressed pretty much completely in Imperial black, fitting for being a representative of the Empire on this mission and the job that she had to do today. Her presence was to assist with the liquidation of those responsible for the heinous attack on the colony.

Revenge is not the Jedi way, many of my recent contacts would say, but then they were not the ones being massacred, were they?

Tella had no such qualms, especially after being shown the graphic pictures of the dead women and children of the colony by her mother. She had no objections to ending the life of the priest who was primarily responsible for it and who sought to drive them into being refugees again. This Nalfan was going to die today, and if she had it her way, he was going to die screaming. The agent, if they could catch him, would simply be an additional prize.

Wordlessly, she shadowed the Inquisitor when he entered the Spire, her black cloak swishing softly against the ground as she did so. She did not need any pep talk to do what needed to be done here today. Only instructions.

Tae'l had been made aware of the bounty almost immediately, alerted by Howl_Runner program even before the guild had been informed by the fledgling Empire. It was... a nasty piece of work, she had to admit. While she wasn't familiar with the Stenax religion, she was made aware of how potently violent they were, as evidenced by the shear brutality of the massacre. While one might expect a Mandalorian to be desensitized to the violence of another warrior culture, Tae'l had her own qualms with the Stenax today. While it was true that she could match them- violence for violence- it was the choice in victims that didn't sit right with her. Cowards! she thought, What kind of "Warrior" would massacre the unarmed?

That was where the mercenary drew the line.

Her fingers flexed above the holster on her belt, itching to draw and 'lay down the law' in the only way she knew how, eyes locked on the pair of Stenax guards below her. But she restrained herself... for now. The professional approach would be quiet, methodical- just as they had trained her to do- And she was no amateur. Personal feelings must be put to the side, and rash actions reconsidered.

But, just because this job wasn't personal, didn't mean she couldn't have a little fun...

She leapt down from her perch atop a nearby wall, striking both guards- one with her wristblades and the other with her
crushgaunt- in a single motion that slammed their bodies face first into the duracrete floor, leaving her atop the first with her knee in his back, having used their bodies to cushion her own landing.

Both were dead in an instant.

And- judging by the quick scan-pulse feeding information to her HUD- she was alone now, if only for a moment.

Objective: 2

Valerian was still getting used to being awakened after nearly a millennium of sleep. When he was found he quickly was brought up to speed courtesy of an inquisitor that seemed entirely familiar to him despite him being a Sullustan. He was quickly allowed access to any and all imperial records for him to comb over, and what he had learned he had largely found disturbing. Vader and the Emperor dead and the years following that were a chaotic mess of disorder that spread from one part of the galaxy to the next. He was happy that he evaded the collapse, and other shattering events such as the Yuuzhan Vong War and the four hundred year darkness that came and went.

When he was brought into the Empire of the Lost he seemed to be out of sorts. Many of them seemed to be soft willed reformists who reminded him of the corruption of the Republic. He wouldn’t allow the same decadence to plague the Empire again. With Vader and Palpatine gone there was no one to keep Valerian down, no pecking order he was forced to follow. He was now free, and free to pursue what power he has liked. He wondered if Treymane or Jerec thought of the same thing during the collapse?

His first order of business would be to kill the operative responsible for the havoc of Beledrone. The world he knew little of save for the home of an imperial agent of Vader’s. He recognized the name Flint as a dark Jedi that too was an inquisitor perhaps. Still, unlike the reformists Valerian would bring back the meaning of Imperial. He was given command over a platoon of Stormtroopers who were brief on the mission. They stood nervously behind Valerian as they made their way down to the lower levels. Valerian kept his hand firmly on the hilt of his saber.

“You will root out this operative, conduct interrogations if need be and if you do not gain results…” He paused his red eyes narrowing on the troopers. “Then detain the civilians and if not… Eliminate them. We will draw the operative out.” He finished his tone mirrored that of Vader from his lessons. Valerian would prove how much of a hardliner as the stormtroopers readied weapons and said in unison. “Yes sir!” They said before the door would open and the hunt in the lower levels was about to begin a crimson saber igniting.

Tella took the stack of keycards wordlessly and nodded. There was not much more to be said: kill the priest and any who might attempt to stop her. When the elevator reached the appropriate floor, she quickly glanced around outside, finding herself in a servant’s corridor with no one immediately around. Sending the elevator back down to the lower levels so Jegy could carry out his portion of the mission, she then waited for a moment, then concentrated, using the Force to bend the light around her to a bit along with the sound waves she would project. She was not quite as skilled with it as her mother yet, so the effect was more of a blurring one-one’s eyes and ears would naturally stray away from her and her sounds, but if one was alerted and looked hard enough, they could see her.

“We do the best we can…”
She muttered, realizing it was something she needed to work on in the future.

She stepped forward into the corridor, carefully making her way through. A few scattered workers roamed about carrying used dishes of food, baskets of laundry, or cleaning supplies, but there were no guards to be seen. It made sense, after all, this was one of the most secure areas, and all but the most resilient and resourceful Imperials had been killed in the attack on the colony. She used this to her advantage, taking a bit of a break and simply observing where the greatest volume of workers was coming from. After about fifteen minutes, it was clear most were coming down one long corridor. That must be the right direction-after all, servants attended their masters, and where one found a lot of servants, one would almost surely find those who they served.

One hand on the hilt of her lightsaber hidden beneath her unassuming cloak with its hood down, Tella carefully moved forward.

Zinayn landed at his designated pad a kilometer out from the main spire in the middle of the city. He wasted no time in getting to the front entrance, pushing through a throng of civilians. Two Stenax were standing guard by the blast door. How to break in...

The Chiss settled for an aggressive approach. He walked up to the two Stenax and before they could react, ignited both of his lightsabers and slashed at a forty-five degree angle, making an X in the middle of the two guards. They fell without a scream.

He then plunged his lightsabers into the blast door and carved a nice hole in the middle. He climbed into the buiding...and faced a crowd of confused workers. Great. Killing them would be...less than ideal, but he couldn't have any of them calling the spire security forces. Zinayn closed his eyes and drew upon the power of the Force. He extended a hand and hoped for the best.

OOC: I want to use the dice for this, but I don't know how to. I rolled twice and it didn't show me the value until I posted this. I tried to edit to continue the rp because I succeeded, but then the dice roll thing was gone.

There was a loud clattering noise as the elevator closed up, he only got a glimpse of Tella right before he started to descend far down into the pits of the Spire. As the elevator started to descend downwards, his communicator started to go off as he held a comnlink up to his large mouth.

"Shaman here."
"Sir, we have a situation developing outside."
"If this is about Drakk-"
"No, something worse...a Jedi!"

Outside as it extended out towards the unfolding madness of a scene, Stenax were starting to descend from all around the Spire, going out through the open windows, trying to get towards Zinayn Zinayn as quick as they could with various weapons. Near the elevator, the Sullustan glanced out to see a massive array of them flocking towards the ground level with the siren starting to go off. Fumbling with the communicator, he tried to get it onto operations channel rather quickly as the elevator went down into the very lower levels.

"Kriff...attention all units! We have a Rouge Jedi making a lot of noise outside! Expect less resistance but higher alert status! I say agai-"

There was a ding as the doors started to open as it became almost a comical moment out of a movie. Right before him, was at least three dozen rifles point in his general direction, all aimed and ready to kill them as more of them started to power on around him. It looked like the end of a particular Holo-Movie he saw a while back as he stood there. Giving a long sigh, slowly flicked the communicator off and tossed it towards them.

Before anything else can happen, there was the arrival of a certain group of Imperials he was glad to see as they turned, a firefight breaking out as the ignition of the Sullustans lightsaber erupted as well, trying to cut them down quickly as the whole place erupted! All he could hope for was Valerian Draak Valerian Draak not mistaking him for an enemy in this fight from the other side!

Elsewise, upwards there be a lot less security and possibly a lot more harping of religious vengeance, fiery words that would screech out near Tella and the new bounty hunter showing up. A lot of the Stenax had left their posts up here and those that remained were more or less their own guard. The only oddball one was a large Trandoshan as it held two rather large yet comically sized Ryyk Blades, being the one guarding the priest wherever he went. Otherwise, anyone non-essential had went to hide and avoid being killed by the Rouge Jedi far down below!

Zinayn sighed as a horde of Stenax stampeded through the corridor, coming from all directions. He let down his hand. He could try to fight them all... or he could manipulate them.

"You got me, everyone! I surrender," the Chiss said, putting his lightsabers back into his cloak and holding up his hands. His heart was starting to beat a bit faster. He would have to persuade them to go after one of the other Force presences in the spire, hopefully holding them up so Zinayn could get the kill (and the bounty).

"Loyal soldiers of the Priest, you might as well flee now, and I will spare you. I have distracted you all, and my partner in this attack is currently walking leisurely towards Kiao Nalfan, whom you are supposed to guard. I give you a choice. Have a fifty-percent chance of killing me, and your priest is murdered, or you can fly back up to your pretty little perches by the Priest's side and defend them from the danger that is my partner.

"Now, bounty hunting is a... competitive business. I wouldn't mind if you took out my partner. Rest assured, that I will not harm you if you defend the Priest. Even now, another Force-user enters the spire and aims to kill a high-value target. So, I leave you with a choice."

The Stenax looked at each other and started speaking in croaks and gurgles. Eventually, one of the hellish creatures looked at Zinayn's hooded face and nodded. He and maybe twenty other Stenax sprinted through the hallway to the turbolift to defend the Priest. However, seven of the guards stayed, swords and maces in their hands.

"Fine, I see you want to do this the hard way?"

Now, he spared a glance behind him, at the circular chunk of durasteel on the ground from when he cut in. Zinayn opened a hand, and extended his will through the Force. The tallest of the Stenax started stomping towards the hooded figure. Now.

He sent his hand flying forward, and the durasteel chunk mimicked his movement, hovering off the ground and zipping towards the Stenax at high speeds. The durasteel hit the Stenax right in the neck and one enemy was down. The battle had begun.

Her scanner quickly picked up a new lifeform as a servant came running, nearly tripping over the bodies in a fear stricken sprint away from whatever was happening below.

Shit!

Tae'l had hidden in a nearby doorway, letting the servant get to wherever they were going- when blaster fire suddenly erupted several levels below her- putting the whole spire on high alert and prompting two Stenax guards to come the opposite direction from the servant's path.

They were immediately tipped off by the two bodies between them and the bridge leading to the nearest lift...

The Mandalorian was hoping they might have flown away to check on the chaos below, only realizing after they fell silent that she hadn't time to clean up after herself and that the two guards were likely creeping up to search for the killer. The element of surprise was no longer on her side- silence was no longer an option- and time was running out.

Time to do what she does best...

The guards snapped to turn their guns on the pillar as a peculiar ✱chittering✱ echoed across the balcony, marking the use of her Scan-pulse module which quickly mapped her surroundings and revealed the even through the stone between them. She had already taken aim at their ghostly digital signatures by the time she stepped out, following up with two shots that left them dead as their nearby comrades.

The moment her foes had been dispatched, she was gone, having run through the corridor and blasted the door controls behind her, shutting it with no way left to open but by brute force should the enemy or unknown allies attempt to follow.

She wasn't going to let the chaos downstairs foil her mission...

Tella continued her way through the servant’s quarters on the upper level, her blurring Force Cloak serving her well especially when some sort of commotion drew most of everyone’s attention towards the bottom floor levels. No one paid too much attention to the nondescript figure that was curiously hard to make out in detail carrying on towards where it felt the “nexus” point of those still remaining at their posts on the level were. She was worried for Jegy, but she knew enough to trust the elder Inquisitor-he was damningly hard to kill after all. Eventually, she reached a long corridor where two large, imposing Stenax guards remained at their posts, long, deadly vibroblades along with activated personal shield generators blocking her way.

“Servant! What are you doing here? Get out of here! We are protecting his holiness and do not need any dis-”

Tella raised one gloved hand and the alien’s command suddenly cut off, replaced by gurgling noises as he and his partner suddenly began to reach for their throats. She did not even pause her step as they were both lifted slightly in the air as well, their feet kicking as they tried in vain to fight against the invisible grip that was crushing their necks. By the time she reached the door, both of the large, burly aliens lay dead on the ground before her. She simply stepped on their still warm corpses as she quietly made her way through the door. Her target was not far away now.

You will not receive as quick of a death as your guards, Priest. You threw away any chance of mercy when you massacred them like cattle. You thought you could handle anything that would come as a result of your actions. Well, let us see how you weather the storm that is approaching…

Zinayn wiped his brow (not as if there was sweat there, of course). The Stenax were all unconcious...hopefully. Nope. As Zinayn expanded his senses, he realized one of the beasts was dead from the durasteel hitting his neck and breaking his airway. Oh well. The Chiss raced through the corridors the way the guards came, and in a minute, he found himself at a turbolift. He mashed the call button repeatedly, not like it would do any good, but it made him feel better. He was already late to this contract, and if he failed to kill the priest, he wouldn't get his reward.

Of course, there was the other option of taking the operative which he could always fall back on. But the priest was his main mission. Finally, the turbolift came, and he stepped in. Mid step, he found something small and rectangular on the ground. He summoned it to his palm with the Force and looked at it. It seemed to be a keycard of some sort. Probably dropped by some careless employee. And now Zinayn had an easy path to the Priest.

To his right on the turbolift console, there were twenty floors, and the button for the highest floor was grayed out. Zinayn inserted his newly found card into a keycard slot and the grayed out button turned green. He smirked and pressed it.

A minute later, he came out on the top, a door waiting a dozen meters ahead. Dead Stenax guards were strewn about by the door. His eyes narrowed as he broke into a sprint. Someone was ahead of him. Hopefully, though, the dozens of Stenax that he had manipulated on the ground floor were waiting for the other assassin in the Priest's throne room. Maybe they would deter the Force-user long enough that Zinayn could confront them himself.

(Whoops, meant to be Tella here!)

Avg of 16 with Modifiers: Expertly Done.

Tella continued her relentless hunt of the priest, stepping through the door past the dead Stenax guards and eventually making her way to a large, central inner antechamber, populated by a full squad of Stennex guards. Beyond the antechamber, she could feel another set of suites, where a large, fearsome presence trailed a frailer, but more malevolent one. The Priest and his bodyguard.

“We’ll set up positions here, and…hey! You, servant! Get out of here! This is no place for you!” One of the Stenax guards ordered, able to know enough despite her blurring her presence no one else should be here.

“Oh, I disagree…” Tella replied, dropping the Force Cloak as she raised both hands towards the group of assembled guardsmen “...I think you are the ones who should not be here.”

Rage at the slaughter of the men, women, and children she and her Mother had sworn to protect still coursing through her veins, she drew deeply upon the Dark Side of the Force. The fearsome energies coursed through her, slowly building up into a torrent in her core, fueled by her righteous fury at what they had done to her people here, the innocents they had so gleefully killed. Her mother had once told her that in order to use such dark powers efficiently, you had to mean to cause harm. She did, and more, as she suddenly unleashed the torrent within her on the doomed Stenax.

A wave of pulsing blue lightning struck out from her hands, striking the foremost Stenax guards and blasting them back into the wall with a sickening series of crunching and popping noises as it tore through their bodies. The second rank tried to disperse in a panic, but Tella had already finished their first comrades, the lightning turning into a chain as it rebounded from the corpses of the dead into the next four guards, who writhed in agony and pain as they fell to the floor, tortured and beginning to smoke from the sheer power being unleashed upon them. The last four of the guards finally were able to mount some kind of response, attempting to charge her, but unfortunately for them by the time they got anywhere close to her, their second line comrades had died. A brilliant blue flash erupted throughout the room…and then there was just silence.

Tella looked at the door to that led to the inner chamber, and began walking towards it over the charred and broken corpses of the guards. They had been lucky their deaths had been swift. That would not be the case for the leader of the insurrection.

Flicking the lightsaber once, another fell as the troopers started to go into positions as large amounts of blasterfire erupted all around him. With the lightsaber still ignited, he flicked at different moments to allow the blaster bolts to be returned each time. An operative ran forward and around, a disruptor firing as the Sullustan quickly ducked as it smashed into the wall, turning part of the Durasteel to nothing with the Sullustan giving chase. There was much going on as he chased the strange alien across the entire basement, flipping over sections of furniture in a hastened pace.

"DAMN IT! GET BACK HERE!"

After all the destruction that was being caused upstairs, the bodyguard for the Priest finally acted and burst through a set of open doors. The Trandoshan finally showed himself as he threw one of the nearby people out of the line with a loud growl. Hissing out, he spun the Ryyk Blades and moved forward, no disregard for the people around him. It was time for people to die! The Priest looked afar from the other room, more of the Stenax tried to cover him, tried to move him...but with all the chaos happening, it may be impossible.

Tella was not in the mood to waste any time with the Trandoshan and his Rykk blades: he was clearly looking for some kind of dramatic fight. This was likely something he could show off to the Scorekeeper, either dying valiantly or winning through his sheer skill and effort. Tella did not give a damn about that, she was here for one reason and one reason only, to kill the Priest and make sure he suffered while doing so. Raising one hand, a brilliant beam of orange energy flickered from her palm, racing towards the Trandoshan and striking him.

Almost immediately, the health and vitality of the large beast was ripped out of him, its energy being used to empower Tella instead, who used it to continue draining him in a vicious feedback loop. After what seemed to be just seconds, the Trandoshan slumped to the ground, dead, unable to even dignify his death in the eyes of his God. Tella, infused with the power of the deceased warrior, continued forward, using the Force to crush the necks of the few remaining Stenax who desperately tried to protect the priest, who was doing his best to cower away from her.

Tella ignited her blue lightsaber, her face twisting into a look of disgust as he addressed him.

“What’s wrong, you charlatan? It’s not so easy to kill someone who can actually fight back, is it?”

Zinayn sprinted into the throne room, passing dead Stenax, and even a dead Trandoshan. The Force-user ahead of him didn’t have the tainted feeling of a Sith, but they certainly couldn’t have been a Jedi with all this killing.

Finally he arrived and found a woman standing before the Priest (who was cowering on the ground), with her lightsaber ignited.

Zinayn grimaced. He hoped he wouldn’t have to fight any other Force-users on this mission, and the woman still had a chance… a chance to not end up unconscious slumped against a wall.

“Halt!”

He didn’t expect the woman to even acknowledge him, but there was a chance.

He drew upon the power of the Force to try and pull the woman away from striking distance of the Priest, but only if she tried to strike.

Tella had been so focused on ending all of the priest’s remaining defenses that she had not sensed the Chiss Gray Jedi approaching. She gave him a stern look as if to warn him to not try to use the Force against her, brimming with the Dark Side at the moment as she was, since that would not end well for him, but did not take any hostile actions as she replied to him.

"What is it? I hope you are not here to save this man. He is marked for death by the Empire and nothing you can do can change his fate at this point. If you are competition for taking his life, go ahead. I had meant for it to be sufficiently painful for his crimes, but as long as he ends up dead at the end of the day…"

She turned more fully towards the Gray Jedi, stance turning towards more of a combat ready one against him if he tried to interfere in a way she was not happy with. She knew more than one person was out for the priest’s head and was not prideful enough to fight them to do it herself, but he was not getting out of this tower alive if she had anything to say about it.

EARLIER...

Tae'l continued her mad dash toward's the priest's chamber, gunning down or ducking under the blows of Stenax guardians as her focus became singular and Iron willed. Even blaster fire which struck her armored back or the shield in front of her could only briefly slow the determined Mandalorian as warriors were either blasted through the skull or clotheslined by her shielded gauntlet.

It wasn't until she came upon the bodies of fallen Stenax ahead- slain without even a mark on them- that The Bounty Hunter changed her course.

This sudden decision saw her leap out of an open window into the night sky...

PRESENT...

Using her jetpack to dive full force like a bird of prey, Tae'l smashed through a large window inside the main chamber, blasting herself at breakneck speed right at the cowering priest- who she had spotted through the walls with a scanner- while her Beskar-Wristblade was poised to strike. If she had her way, all it would take was one strong dive, and to hold the blade in front of her.

Rest in hell, zealot She thought, her mind calm and focused despite the thunderous beat of her heart, nor the glow of a lightsaber she had spotted as the glass first shattered.

No matter the two Jedi in the corner of her vision, no matter if she had to fight all 20 of the Stenax that had come rushing in through the same window behind her- and no matter the odds- She would not let this one go without a fight.

The Empire of the Lost.

Kahlil wouldn't have thought twice about the group usually. There were so many organizations in the Galaxy that if he paid attention to them all, he'd surely loose his mind. And yet, the name came across his desk. In the form of a bounty on one of the Order's Jedi. From her own report, she didn't start it. Not that it mattered. This Empire, these Imperials, they were not the type who would be recognized by the Alliance.

After all, Imperials were their enemies.

The problem laid with the fact Jonyna Si Jonyna Si would now be hunted by bounty hunters. Perhaps it was something she could handle, and he doubted that there wouldn't be others placed on her and the others of the Order at some point. But, perhaps for this one, there could be a conversation.

He landed outside the city in an unmarked shuttle, stepped from it with a smile calmly on his face. He wouldn't allow the Jedi of the Alliance to face more prosecution than they already had.
