Private Under the sea

Alina marveled at the towering structures jutting out of the surface of the water on Mon Cala. Although she had visited many worlds in the galaxy, this was her first time seeing an oceanic world. The endless sea was a sight to behold, especially for someone unaccustomed to such scenery. She joined many other offworlders stepping off the transport after it landed in Dac City, one of the few cities offworlders could visit unless they happened to breathe underwater.

She took her time strolling through the streets, taking in everything like a proper tourist. The vibrant colors of the coral buildings, the gentle hum of aquatic vehicles, and the bustling marketplaces filled with exotic sea life and unique crafts captivated her senses. The smell of salty sea air mixed with the aromas of various street foods, creating an enticing atmosphere. Alina had no pressing concerns or even a specific reason for coming here other than curiosity and the desire to see something new.

Dressed plainly, which was unusual for her, she felt a sense of ease. She wasn't expecting any battles on this peaceful world, so there was no need for her armor. However, she still carried her lightsaber, firmly attached to her hip, just in case. The simplicity of her attire allowed her to blend in with other tourists, yet the presence of her lightsaber was a subtle reminder of her readiness for any unexpected situations.

She had been stuck on Mon Cal for six weeks. SIX WEEKS. Of all the worlds in the galaxy, she had assumed that this was the one place where finding a cheap way off world would not be so hard. She had even tried volunteering to work on a hauler, but apparently they were all automated now.

Still, the Force clearly still wanted her here. To that end, Cerys had set about doing what good she could do. However, she had not understood the last issue. And mistaken who was actually at fault. After all the dust settled, she had found herself arrested by local law enforcement and incarcerated for a night. Something about being a public nuisance. She had only been trying to help!

So, when she got a spike in the Force indicating there was Force User nearby, Cerys was not in a particularly good mood. Step after step she got closer to the source as they milled through the crowd. She even got a glimpse of a saber swinging from what looked like a young woman’s hip.

Cerys reached forth her hand, placed it on the young woman’s shoulder. Perhaps a Jedi was her best ticket off this planet.

Alina was so engrossed in the stalls and the intricate architecture of Mon Cala that she didn't notice Cerys's approach until a gentle hand touched her shoulder. Startled, she tensed briefly, her senses on high alert, before turning to see who it was. The sight of a young woman, seemingly close to her in age, standing there with a friendly demeanor caused her to relax immediately. She let out a small sigh of relief, the tension melting away as she offered a warm smile.

As Alina turned fully to face the woman, her smile broadened. The resemblance between them was striking—long golden hair that shimmered under the sunlight and piercing blue eyes. It was as if she were looking at her twin. Intrigued and slightly amused by the uncanny similarity, Alina extended her hand in introduction. "My name is Alina. Do you need something?"

Trying to look casual was not an easy task for someone that had been described as ‘uptight, high strung and rigid in the extreme’, but Cerys gave it her best shot. Ultimately, she just looked slightly awkward and uncomfortable.

She bowed her head slightly.

”Cerys Dyn. Jedi Apprentice and keeper of the Oaths of Old…you are a Jedi?”

Alina raised and eyebrow the woman but gave her another smile. "Maybe not in the way you think, but lets say yes Jedi is the closest term that applies to me." Alina motioned toward a nearby bench so that they could sit and talk. Clearly she had something on her mind and needed help, Alina was not one to turn anyone away if it was in her power to help.
