Konor felt completely naked without his tactical suit not to mention robbed, the outlaw had to pay a small fortune just to rent the suit he'd be wearing this evening. It wasn't all bad though, it was a tiger print suit and he complimented it with wearing an expensive watch he stole a few weeks back. At least no one would recognise him without the tactical suit. Konor, under the name of Joe King (he couldn't believe no one got that yet), fidgeted in his suit as he roamed some rich dweeb's party waiting for his opportunity. A smoke in one hand, a drink in the other, Konor couldn't feel anymore out of place among those who lived the easy life. Never facing any hardships. His nose crinkled, Konor scowled as he thought back to his time as a slave - he knew that people like these socialites didn't care for those issues... even worse, straight up ignored them.

Which was why he took this job gladly. The party he was at? It was hosted by a 'legitimate businessman' with dealings on Denon, naturally, this got the attention of those Darkwire guys. Konor's prior experience with Xan made him a candidate for the job, plus if Konor botched this operation and got caught, they wouldn't be losing any official members. Deviously clever on their part. Regardless the payment was too good to turn down and Konor was a sucker for high risk, high reward work. If things did end up getting hairy, Konor had his suit and gear stashed away somewhere safe.

Finishing off his cigarette, Konor let out a begrudging sigh before placing his now free hand in his silk pockets. He knew he had to keep up appearances in order to avoid being suspicious, but then again he knew that the moment he opened his mouth... these socialites would know he wasn't one of them. Konor shrugged, talking was better than skulking in the corner anyway. However, the back of a woman with a rocking bod caught his eye... he'd try his luck there. While he could only see the back of her profile but Konor knew she was gonna be hot, he had a sixth sense for these things. When he reached her, he still had his glass in hand and cleared his throat calmly "Your 'fit, I like it a lot. Though, it'd look better on my floor." he said, adding a little base in his voice to sound seductive.

Parties like this weren't her sort of affair. High standards, dressing up in fancy dancy dressing, and walking around with a starship hull worth of makeup on your face wasn't Alana's idea of fun. One thing that it did have going for it though, was the drugs were readily available. Thank the force for shallow rich people.
Currently in the refresher, Alana had managed to score a nice set of spice from some dizzy drama queen out front. So, given she had some high quality goods on hand, she wasn't about to let it go to waste. Taking the canister, she shifted it towards her nose and popped the small seal on the top. Immediately, her 'sixth sense' pinged, a dull pain at the back of her mind. She grimaced, her fingers nearly letting go of the spice, though she held on. "Stupid fething force scag..." She muttered quietly to herself, before taking a healthy dose of her new supply. It didn't take long before she had emptied the canister, and felt the sensation slam into her shortly after. Her legs felt like rubber for a splitsecond, prompting her to stagger forward, her hands catching herself on the sink. She glanced up to her reflection in the mirror, and immediately the changes became apparent. Colors become a tad more intense, and she felt rather giddy all of the sudden. The pain at the back of her head faded, and she felt a hell of alot lighter. "Well hey there stranger, you come here often?" She muttered, her hand moving to the reflection before she realized she was talking to herself. "Feth on a frag grenade Alana, get a grip." She sputtered, running a hand through her hair as she tried to reign herself back in. She had to impress people after all, least that's what she had agreed to with that arms dealer who had given her that fancy rifle. Her vision came into focus, as she could now see a far more glowing appearance than she had initally thought. The silk dress fit her pretty well, and the small black globes covered her wrist tattoos pretty damn well.
Oh yea, she looked good. Though she was missing her hat.
A knock at the door told her that her time was up, and with a quick motion, Alana ditched her spent spice container and went out to meet the rest of the rich bastards who were running this gig. She got about half way through the hall before the lights up above caught her, stopping her dead in her tracks as her doppy mind couldn't resist gazing at it. She hadn't gotten too far along before she heard a voice from behind her, with a strange bit of praise she wasn't used to receiving. Alana smirked, her head turning back to eye who this delightful little gem might be, and paused as she eyed a rather trim looking man wearing an exceptionally fashionable suit. Jackpot.

Not being one to take a flirt without firing back, Alana turned to face the man fully, eyeing him up and decided that this was to her liking. "Are you a parking ticket? 'Cause you got fine written all over you." She grinned, tracing the air in front of her, feeling a bit clever. "Name's Alana by the way, got no clue why I'm even here honestly." That wasn't entirely true, but her mind was a little bit foggy at current. Still, she found someone she could chat with for the time being.

Gambling was love. Gambling was life.

She leaned back in the comfortable chair, her dice-filled cup pressed against the table. The elevated level that hung over the ballroom, accessible via two stairways, was heaven for people with a gambling addiction like herself. Three rows of Sabacc, dice, and holochess tables lined the balcony-like section, and a large holoscreen at the far end of the room displayed ongoing Fathier races. It was a quiet place, mostly meant to entertain the more frivolous guests and earn back some of the credits spent on expensive wines and drugs.

But for Neriya Dahle, it was a place where credits could be made. And she was in desperate need of those.

Disguised as the Nagai escort Sylra Highstar from Ringo Vinda, a fake identity she used when she didn't want to be associated with a particular job, Neri had managed to find a way in. It wasn't surprising, considering her striking red dress covered even less than your average bath towel. "Well? What's it gonna be sweetheart?" The arguably fat Twi'lek gave her a look of contempt. "I'm not getting paid to just sit here and look pretty." A sly smile played about her dark lips. "Oh wait. I am." Sylra Highstar glanced at the Ortolan three tables away from them, who made a clear effort not to drop the wine glass with his large hands. He was her 'contractor'. Or more accurately, his family was. She had suppressed a laugh multiple times this evening already, for the Ortolan had a much harder time to keep up his disguise than she did.

"You're bluffing." The Twi'lek finally exclaimed, lifting his own cup to reveal his dice. She snorted, lifting her own cup right after. "No I'm not. One-hundred and sixteen. Just as a I said." For a second she thought his eyes would pop out of his sockets, as the blubbery face contorted to disbelief. "Your credits please. What was our bet? Six-thousand?" She mad a conscious effort not to reveal her real accent as she basked in her victory. The job itself wasn't going to earn her anything. The poor Ortolan family had offered to pay for her expenses, but she had refused.

"Call it charity hon. I'm in a generous mood" She had told to the Ortolan's grandmother. She stood by that. Even if the great scoundrel Neriya Dahle didn't do charity. But she knew the age-old saying. The exception made the rule.

Impressed, Konor's eyebrow raised at the woman who not only matched his wit, but played along with the fliratious banter. She introduced herself, Alana was her name - both the name and the face seemed so familiar but he couldn't quite place his finger on it. Konor took a sip of his drink and extended his hand "I'm Joe--" Konor paused, forming a hesitant expression "Joe King." he'd decided to fully commit to his joke of an alias, judging by the dilation in the pretty girl's pupils. He knew she weren't all there to catch on. But also, as a result of his deduction he was no longer interested - he may have been a criminal, but he had morals. Consent was important.

"Me neither, socialising with these kind of people isn't my forte." Konor glanced at the glass he was holding, rotating it around as he inspected it "The drinks aren't even good. Tastes like Kath Hound piss." he claimed, making a sour-face expression. His blue eyes shifted from the glass to a well-dressed security guard exiting a door guarded by two others. That looked promising. Konor's eyes met Alana's uniquely reds, looking her up and down, Konor flashed her a sultry smirk "I gotta go, but... when I get the chance I'll try and find you later." he lied "But you are by far the most interesting person I've met tonight." that was the truth, shooting her a playful wink before passing her.

Making his way over to the door of interest, Konor caught sight of an attractive looking Nagai on a higher level. Whether she saw him or not, he too would flash her a smirk and a wink as he continued toward the two guards. Finally stopping in front of them, he took in the two stone faced security workers - one was a human male, head shaved and a couple inches taller than Konor. The other was a Nautolan, exactly eye-level with Konor, and had a few interesting markings across his face. Guy definitely had a story to tale.

"Good evening." he greeted them in his best imitation of a socialite's voice and accent "I was watching one of the Sabacc games upstairs, and overheard some guys talking about burglarizing the place come nightfall." Konor explained, lying through his teeth all the while bearing a fake friendly smile. The two guards looked at each other, the Nautolan cleared his throat before jerking his head in the direction of the upper levels. The human relented and sighed "I'll look into it." he confirmed before grumbling as he walked off. Konor hoped both of them would investigate, now he needed to figure out a way to get rid of the Nautolan... and fast.
