STRENGTHS
- Phrik!: The lightsaber hilt is lightsaber resistant, making it incapable of being cut by most standard lightsabers.
- Adaptive: Can be used in and out of water.
- Kasha Crystal: Capable of helping clear the wielder's mind of distractions, even during TENSE combat.
- Seek Enlightenment: A light sider force user who wields this lightsaber finds the weapon capable of channeling the unique and powerful ability, force enlightenment.
- That's Heavy: Being made of Phrik, and imbued with the force has made the weapon heavier than most lightsabers. It requires someone physically capable of swinging around a decent-sized sword to make use of the lightsaber to its fullest.
- Jedi Gatekeepers, am I Right?: Only a master of the light side is capable of reaching into the blade and utilizing this skill, as it is an imprint of its creator's spirit, Vyrin Karis, that unlocks the weapon's function.
Vyrin Karis, the father to Jedi Knight Ryv Karis, was a Jedi Master during the One Sith's occupation of the Core worlds. He faced the Sith in open combat for many years, seeing the majority of his training on an open battlefield. While he wasn't a warmonger in any sense of the word, he understood the importance of defeating the Sith wherever they appeared. As such, Vyrin's training saw him not only master the seven forms of lightsaber combat but also empower himself through the force to become a noble warrior. When his masters declared him a Jedi Knight, he took on the young Rurik Wymar as his Padawan, seeking to impart his knowledge onto the young Prince of Serenno. Planning to inevitably pass on Unity to his first apprentice, plans changed when Vyrin's wife, Amaraya, declared her pregnancy.
Rather than pass on the weapon permanently to Rurik, the two agreed the Jedi Knight's lightsaber would inevitably see use in Ryv's hands when Rurik's training of Vyrin's son was complete. Unfortunately, Vyrin's life came to an unfortunate end at the hands of the One Sith, the devote Jedi Master executed for open rebellion on the streets of Coruscant. By this point, Rurik disappeared to the Outer Rim, both Vyrin's lightsaber and Holocron left to Ryv. Vyrin's son smuggled himself to Nar Shaddaa, far from the reach of both Jedi and Sith alike, opting to take on a life of crime beneath

to get by. As with most things in the wayward Jedi's life, things went south, and Ryv found himself on the run from the Hutt's, spirited away back to Coruscant to begin his training anew as Jedi Master

and his interests at the time. Vyrin's lightsaber was confiscated from Ryv following the events, eventually transferred to Tavlar. Perhaps understanding the importance of the blade, the Sovereign-Imperator has passed it down to his once-lover, Lyra Voi'kryt, in hopes of swaying her from a dark path.
