Dino carefully made his way through the perilous cavern he decided to scavenge on Felucia, looking for rumors of an ancient artifact said to hold 'mystical powers,' he had heard it all before, it was no different than any other artifact, he thought. It had been a long journey to get to Felucia, but Dino figured it would all pay off. He sighed, put on his armor, listened to the hiss of the ship door opening, and made it to the interior of this forsaken temple.

Dino made his way down many steps, littered with ancient and mossy Rakatan traps. He was experienced at this point, he'd been maneuvering through tunnels like these for the past.. he couldn't remember how many years it had been. Closer, there is an ally for you nearby. Dino began to sweat, and his face became red with heat. What? Dino thought to himself, What do you mean? But he heard no more from the whisper. Dino began to frantically and hectically sprint through the caverns.

As Dino approached what seemed like the main corridor of this temple, strangely with no other pathway or alternating path, he entered what seemed like a coliseum of sorts, with ancient obsidian etched all around, there seemed to be a faint blue glow in the rocks and walls, which bounced off of Dino's face. In the middle rested some sort of box, with strange old carvings on it, in a language of old tongue that he couldn't wrap his head around. As he approached, he could feel his breath escaping his lungs, and approached it slowly.

Dino felt a migraine, pounding on his head like knocking on a door until almost subconsciously he placed his hand on the box. Soon, the pulsating blue light began to engulf the room. Dino had a rush of visions, and then became blinded by the light before the room went dark. When he could eventually see again, it was only illuminated in a rusty gold shade, as a man stood up where the box used to be. Dino scrambled back on the floor he was on to create some space between him and the unique man he saw in front of him. The light gold color was coming from his cloak, and what seemed like his connection to the force manifesting itself around him. Dino felt connected, he felt as though he needed to understand. This was nothing like what he had ever seen before.

As the man stood over Dino, with his eyes gleaming red with rubies in the low shade of gold encompassing the cavern, and he examined his body as if he had been gone for some unknown amount of time. Dino took a couple of seconds before taking his blaster out of his belt holster and pointed it right between the eyes of the figure. "Who are you, and what are you doing in this cavern?" he asked in an exasperated breath, his trigger finger itching and his body feeling the pressure from the release of energy he felt when touching the box.

Enlil Enlil

They numbered in the thousands, or more.

Beasts, not men. The alien Rakata were vicious, hateful, and hungry. With powers that manifested in a more malignant way than any magic his people had ever witnessed, they made themselves fat on the rich, vast harvests. They turned the fields to flame. Mountains of corpses fed their war machine. Before their strange, metallic birds and giants, the people were powerless.

The King searched frantically for a way to put their invasion to bed.

Women and Children. Not just the men, not only the warriors. The Infinite Empire came for everything. Took everything.

Before everything became black, he remembered the hateful gaze of the one who called himself Skal'nas. A brilliant flash of blue, and then, nothing.

The sensation was like burning and screaming. He felt like a sewing needle ran fast through every fiber of his being, knitting him back together as though he had been torn apart. Warmth, light, and most importantly life. Memories flowed back to his mind that had for an unknown amount of time faded away.

Had he existed? Did he exist?

The gilded light around him began to wane slightly and revealed the figure of a man. The King stared now at the man, who fidgeted nervously and produced a foreign object. When leveled toward Enlil, he felt a dull ache manifest in the pit of his stomach. Was he hungry...?

No.

It had been some length of time, but he knew that feeling well enough. Danger. "Where is this cavern?" He asked instead, "and who are you? Is it not customary in your homeland to give your name before demanding one of someone else?"

As the ruby eyed man asked Dino for his name and where they were, Dino was confused. He felt as though this man was supposed to be an enemy, not someone who knew less than he did.

"This is an ancient and forgotten temple on Felucia, an cruel planet with strong ties to the force." Dino said as he stood up, feeling sick from the shock and emotions he had just gone through. "My name is Dino Jorah, but you can just call me Dino." He said as he slowly began to move the blaster down from the mans face, the weight of the blaster felt like tons as he wiped the warm sweat particles from his face, attempting to regain his composure.

Dino took off his mask, and began to slowly approach the foreign man, keeping his blaster at his side. "If you are who I am led to believe you are, then we're going to have to work together for something. I need to know I can trust you, and we can leave this vile rock for good." Dino said. He awaited words of encouragement or some sort of agreement from this man.

Enlil Enlil

Ancient and forgotten temple... on Felucia.

Enlil had never heard of such a continent, let alone a temple that had been forgotten. The Age of the Gods was at its height when last he knew, swiftly coming toward an end due to an otherworldly menace. Belief in extraterrestrial forces had become a very harsh reality in very little time. But-

A cruel planet.

He disregarded the word Force for the time being. That could mean any number of things, but what the man told him now was that he had not only crossed the River of Stars, he was on another world, entirely away from the one he knew.

His gaze hardened as he considered the speaker, who introduced himself as Dino Jorah. He had uneasiness swelling in the pit of his stomach, but he managed to hide it behind the regal stoicism that he rarely let go.

Whatever the weapon was that Dino pointed at him moments before, he lowered it. Enlil kept his hands crossed at chest level, and made no sudden movements. It was best to avoid any type of altercation until he knew how to proceed.

"This is not where I remember myself last," the King replied at last. "To say the least. I am amicable to working together in order to leave this place."

Better that he did not give up any excessive information about himself, beyond his name and some generics. "I am called Enlil," he replied, "and if I may ask, who do you believe me to be?

Dino felt more comfortable, but the man he was with was something of unique interest. Dino was very involved with ancient relics and artifacts, and this was something that not even he saw coming.

"I was under the assumption that you would be my ally. I'm glad it seems to be working out that way." He said as he finally holstered his weapon. Getting into this main room was the easy part, getting out would prove to be much more difficult. Now that the box was gone from its resting place, the room began to shake and roar like an earthquake that was about to consume the two men. Of course the room is rigged with traps Dino thought to himself, Why wouldn't it be rigged with traps. He sighed a deep breath like he had been there before, and nudged Enlil to come towards the exit with him. They'd have to run, and pretty quickly.

"This place is about to collapse. Come with me, and we can figure out exactly what's going on here when we get back to my ship." Dino shouted as he began to run back through the winding mossy corridor that had led him there in the first place. Although he didn't want to fully trust this individual, with the walls and ceilings caving in, and his voice telling him that he should, he decided he would put that temporary trust into it. Something in his gut made him feel as though it would be a fruitful relationship.

He reactivated his mask, his heavy scavenging armor slamming into the ground with every step.

Enlil Enlil

He became more acutely aware as the room responded to something subtle, with something inordinately unsubtle. Whatever cued his return from the darkness had set this tremor into motion, and he could only assume it had something to do with the machinations of that ancient, evil species.

This was no time to postulate on the devious and foul nature of the Rakata, however. Enlil saw the other man break into a run and watched for a moment with a vacant expression. It was strange to him, foreign almost, for someone to show fear so brazenly. Cowardice was tantamount to societal scorn in the culture he remembered.

No more, he mused silently.

The King took a first, shaky step as his atrophic limbs strained to remember their basest functions. Numbness lanced through every inch of his body and cold fire burned at the soles of his feet. What a terrible day for a temple to start falling on me.

Latent energies coalesced around the golden haired man as he pushed past the weaknesses imposed by his flesh. Inhuman stamina and resolve filled him, slicked his muscles, and coated his bones. The pain he'd felt melted away as the cool current caressed his very soul.

All of this, simply to move.

What a pitiful state.

The hulking mass of metal that consumed his ally barely registered, even as each lumbering step threatened to bring the ceiling down that much faster. Enlil closed the gap between them in several bounding strides, much quicker now than the other man, if not as well shielded against the falling sky. "Ship?" he questioned as he kept pace with the other man, the sluggishness that still lingered in his steps creeping in every now and again to sabotage his movements. There were many questions to ask, but he was unsure whether it was the proper time or place to ask them.

The maze wound ahead of them and bits of the wall cracked and caved as they passed. Enlil very narrowly evaded a slab that fell directly in his path, sliding over the top of it feet first. He managed to fall immediately back into his run, but he did stumble.

"This is hardly the way I hoped I would awaken," he commented ruefully.
