Prakith. Forbidding, dark, strange. Residing deep within Galactic Alliance space, yet a beacon of darkness all the same. Saeva heard its call. Or, more precisely, Saeva's master did - and had sent his apprentice to do his bidding. Hundreds of kilometres from the nearest Prakith city, the very mountain of the volatile and volcanic planet was being carved open. The broken and unstable territory surrounding the dig site only increased its isolation.
Saeva would never have been able to open temples of old on his own. Knowing this, his master had sent people with him. On the outskirts of the site, they wore the badges of Alliance security officers. On site the markings of some mining company could be seen. Inside, however, no such illusions were held. Soldiers and engineers, under Sith command, was trying to reach something deep within.
The perimeter held a guard, and a couple of turrets had been set up to cover them while work went on. A small operation, but too big and it would draw unwanted attention. Good thing no one would discover them this way, right?
Right?
...Right?
The team had at some point managed to connect with what had once been some temple's corridors. Much of its hallways had collapsed, so even finding the underground structure they would have to work it. But further down, deep within, there lay a sanctum untouched, or at least so Saeva hoped as he kept searching. Whatever was within called to him. It was of the Dark Side, like much of Prakith, yet smaller, distinct... What he could not tell, but he knew it was what he had been sent to retrieve, and no small amount of resources had been spent to see him succeed.
