SPECIAL FEATURES
  • The Upgraded/Modernized Protodeka, as it is called, is a tremendously large, tremendously slow, and tremendously expensive vehicle - and a very much lethal siege engine. Capable of destroying entire armored columns by itself as well as shredding apart fortified structures with ease, the U/M Protodeka carries a seismic emitter with an increased range of fifteen meters in a radius around it, as well as capable of tearing apart anything on the ground. While slow and cumbersome for a repulsor-lift droid tank, the U/M Protodeka is not to be underestimated or seen as a vehicle worth fighting unless one wishes to have their tanks consequently blown apart.
STRENGTHS
  • The U/M Protodeka, as it is called, is an absolute beast of a droid tank. Armed with an advanced droid brain as well as significantly better processors and computing ability, it is capable of acting as a solo operator or in groups, capable of essentially making more tactical decisions (if less strategic and more-so optimized to how best to destroy the enemy as quickly as possible), as well as heavily-armored and armed. Its rapid-fire heavy turbolasers can blow apart vehicles and fortified structures with ease and can swivel slightly upward (though not downward) to target taller walkers and vehicles, making it capable of contending with AT-ATs and other tall walker-vehicles. Its seeker missile launchers, likewise, can tear apart lighter armor and infantry, serving with different warhead types to optimize for different mission scenarios. The seismic emitter, likewise, works by making it able to effectively pulp enemy vehicles and infantry trying to get close to it, making it viciously capable of repelling attacks or enemy fire. It is a repulsorlift vehicle low to the ground, and thus benefits more easily from tall vertical and horizontal cover compared to, say, an AT-AT.

Moreover, its impressive hull and armored photoreceptors means it can effectively tear asunder armored columns with little more than a scratch, and its high damage threshold as well as superb armoring means it can keep fighting even if severely damaged. That being said, it is also capable of traversing across light water (such as small rivers or streams), in addition to not suffering from repulsorlift jamming due to its unique structure of repulsorlift. Finally, and most key of all, the Protodeka is a siege engine, and thus is designed to crack open lines, making it a monster in combat - and possibly a floating war crime.
WEAKNESSES
  • Oh, there's quite a few weaknesses. The biggest weakness by far is its tremendous price tag - rated more expensive than some high-end corvettes or low-end frigates (both of which would be military models), it can be best compared to those roles as if they were land-bound vehicles. Its components, while stupidly easy to keep intact, are just as difficult to maintain and replace once they wear out - and its increased size, weight, and slow top speed and speed, as well as acceleration, makes it inept for chases or hunting down columns of light/recon walkers or tanks. It is designed to win head-on on tank battles, and benefitting a droid brain, still cannot process organic thought patterns. Vulnerable to mines due to its small ground clearance, a powerful enough mine, especially Ion or EMP, could knock out the repulsorlift temporarily and ground it. Its seeker missiles do not have infinite ammunition, and likewise must be reloaded through a tedious ammunition-refilling process - as well as using a specialized variant only the Colicoid Creation Nest produces, making it and its parts difficult to steal and reproduce, but also difficult to resupply and maintain.

Moreover, the Protodeka is GIGANTIC/Humungous - its a vehicle carrying heavy, rapid-fire turbolasers, after all, and it shows. The thing easily sticks out like a sore thumb and can be target for aircraft (something it is notoriously vulnerable to save for its seeker missiles), and for enemy starships who may choose to slag it. Deep water will see it sink and unable to move, forcing recovery and repair for it, and it additionally has the unfortunate side effect of pulping friendly allies with its seismic emitter if it feels warranted, meaning its temperamental nature must be kept at either a solid distance from friendlies, or at least, grouped with fellow Protodekas (who will fan out to avoid the seismic emitter). It can be swamped by infantry, and lacking proper anti-infantry weapons, means its designed purely in a siege engine and anti-armor role. Finally, and most dangerous of all for a weakness, when its internal reactor is compromised (should it be happening, which, while rare, can happen), the Protodeka has a bad tendency of exploding violently around twenty meters or so and taking out everything with it in the process. It is also vulnerable to those force powers which can affect a droid specifically.
DESCRIPTION
The U/M Protodeka, in particular, is an upgraded and modernized version of the original Protodeka. Ank Dec specifically worked on this model - increasing its size in order to serve as a better siege engine and anti-tank vehicle. While its tremendous price tag and upgraded components fetch a hefty cost on the market, the Colicoid Creation Nest has high faith in its ability to sell, particularly against enemy vehicles who continue to grow larger. Able to resist heavy amounts of damage and injury and still make it home to be repaired, the CCN have made another high-quality (if expensive and maintenance-heavy) product that is worth purchasing for those factions able to afford them and utilize them. After all, why would one not want a war machine capable of demolishing their foes' armored divisions with ease.

Very powerful vehicle!
  • The Image source field is broken, I would like to ask you to add the image source link to the template (others usually put it under the art). Thank you for your understanding!
  • However with the new rules, it can't be Limited, the Humongous is larger rating than the extreme. I would like to ask you to modify the production scale or the rating:
    6. Extreme ratings require justification and elaboration in the main body of the submission.
    7. Extreme ratings must be submitted as Semi-Unique or Unique.
You can find this in the Factory rules (General Submission Guidelines section)
  • The Neuranium is a restricted material, and because of this, the sub can be only Semi-Unique or Unique.
  • About, the damage and similar, please remember it is always your opponent decide about how sucessful the attack was. You can write in the sub the wehicle is able to cause vast damage, but the opponent's vehicle might have defence systems and this can reduce the tank's damage drastically.

Fixed the neuranium, fixed the rating, but to be fair I will point out that it's just dramatic flair for wording. I think that's reasonable to make a sub look cool, but I'm aware and I understand.
