STANDARD FEATURES
  • The U/M Droid Tri-Fighter, otherwise known as the Upgraded/Modernized Droid Tri-Fighter, is an innovative design based wholly on the original namesake. An upgraded/modernized version, it is built to be the best dogfighting droid starfighter imaginable - a ship with very few downsides and many, many strengths. Armed with three light laser cannons which are fixed, a heavy nose-mounted swivel-joint laser cannon, and two flex ordnance launchers. It has sacrificed a light amount of armor in comparison to its predecessor for even more speed and maneuverability. It has two reactors (a primary reactor and an ionization reactor), three vectoring ion engines, and can be armed with Pistoeka (any of the small variants, including the U/M Pistoeka) Sabotage Droid discord missiles, proton torpedoes, or concussion missiles, all of which are homing, for its flex ordnance launchers. It is a deadly ship, armed with short-range sensors, an integrated droid brain, and target scanners. It has a communications dish and a control/comms receiver as well.
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Armed with cooling radiators as well as an ion acceleration chamber in additional, the U/M Droid Tri-Fighter also possesses improved heuristic processors, making it superior to normal and even well-trained military starfighter pilots, only matched by force-sensitive, trained pilots, and those of its likeness. It is also armored with three drive-thrust ion vectoring engines, making it whip-fast both in space and atmosphere, with a top speed of one hundred and fifty MGLT and up to fifty-eight thousand kilometers per hour in atmosphere. It is so fast that it is capable of blitzing opponents.
STRENGTHS
  • Sacrificing a bit of its armor to obtain even more speed and maneuverability, the U/M Droid Tri-Fighter is an absolute MENACE in starfighter combat. Capable of being easily mass-produced and designed to effectively serve as a rack-deployable starfighter, the U/M Tri-Fighter is capable of dogfighting and winning against even trained, veteran, seasoned military starfighter pilots, only matched by trained, experienced force-sensitive pilots and those droid starfighters able to contend with it. Frighteningly fast and maneuverable/whippy, it can turn on a dime and just as easily blitz a foe before they even have a clue what they're doing. Armed with improved heuristic processors that enable it to not only be superbly difficult to predict or guess, it also is able to analyze, anticipate, and mimic an enemy pilot's maneuvers and even learn how best to overcome them. It's also well-armed for its size and capable of going toe-to-toe with heavier fighters, bombers, and interceptors, as well as being designed to flock together and coordinate much more easily. It has very few weaknesses, really, and it is a perfect starfighter that's droid brain only in the conventional sense. It is also built with a powerful sensor system designed to ignore jamming attempts to spool its primary weapons systems.

    The U/M Droid Tri-Fighter can also upload its learned behaviors from enemy tactics and fighter maneuvers back to the ship and can be uploaded into not-yet-deployed U/M Droid Tri-Fighters to allow subsequent waves to manage adversaries better, as well as be stored for long-term utilization.
WEAKNESSES
  • The biggest issue taken with it, really, is its cost. While more expensive then its predecessor, it also has sacrificed some of its armor plating to achieve greater speed, meaning a reactor shot from a normal laser cannon is a guaranteed kill, and hitting it in armored portions could disable or knock it out (though not kill it potentially depending on the power of the weaponry in question). It also, despite being extremely fast, maneuverable, and an absolute dogfighting unit, is ultimately going to be surpassed by a rare few organic pilots, by those force-sensitive pilots who are trained and seasoned, and its own kind. Vulnerable to EMP/Ion weaponry. Maintenance and parts also will only come from Colla IV, and it's a particular kind of maintenance that makes it difficult to modify. It cannot house an organic pilot like its predecessor, and it is designed to be a dogfighting-specific starfighter, with little room for other mission priority tasks. Jamming of its missiles (aside from the discord missiles) and proton torpedoes is viable and can happen.

    Another big weakness is being unable to mount a hyperdrive, and as a consequence, it is carrier-bound/hangar-bound strictly. Moreover, to mount the U/M Droid Tri-Fighter, it requires a rack conversion for hangars, making it extremely difficult (and costly) to not only renovate existing ships, but to fit organic starfighters within those hangars (though it is possible). It also has an issue where that its maintenance during downtime is lengthy, and requires utilization of certain heavy kind of fuels for powering its engines, mandating protective anti-radiation environmental suits.
DESCRIPTION
The U/M Droid Tri-Fighter is an improvement upon its predecessor overall - a lethal droid starfighter of war that can obliterate its foes with mind-numbing speed and impossible-to-process maneuvers. Mass-producible, easy to acquire (if you buy them from the Colicoid Creation Nest, that is), and very much a superb product, its few weaknesses are more than made up for it by its strengths. Designed by Ank Dec and his design team, they worked on "perfecting" the design of the original Tri-Fighter, and to them, they have succeeded. Now it awaits to be purchased and deployed; it will reap much devastation in its wake certainly.

The image source has been fixed, parts have been added, and ofc ofc. I do wish to note I did add more weaknesses - I'll let you call on whether it cannot be taken with organic starfighters, but in short idrc about winning, I just was excited to work on cool subs. Lmk if you're fine with 16 or 20 as the squadron count.

Thank you! Because you don't have to post balanced subs anymore both is good. So it is up to you you want High or Very High. The only thing, if you have extreme rating, the sub can be only Unique or Semi-unique. So if you want, you can modify the current High: 16 to Very High: 20.

Thank you! Because you don't have to post balanced subs anymore both is good. So it is up to you you want High or Very High. The only thing, if you have extreme rating, the sub can be only Unique or Semi-unique. So if you want, you can modify the current High: 16 to Very High: 20.
Alright, I'll go for 20 then! and ty sm, I just want to myself balance it because it's more fun to have weaknesses tbh and it feels more fluffy!
