APPEARANCE:
Urgot is a big bantha of a Gamorrean boar, standing 6 feet tall and weighing in over 250 lbs of muscle and mucous, with most of that being muscle. He's green skinned and hairless, albeit covered in scars with the large tusks and jutting horns typical of adult Gamorreans, and a large, somewhat runny snout. He prefers to wear heavy, traditional armor and carries his weapons openly to show off how dangerous he is.

ATTRIBUTES:
Urgot is, in many ways, a common example of a Gamorrean male: direct, violent, and generally crude, with a preference for heavy armor, heavy weapons, and especially heavy drinks. Those who meet him probably don't pay the boar much mind, as on a surface level he doesn't stand out much from the usual Gamorrean mercenary. But Urgot has two traits that set him apart from other Gamorreans: ambition and cunning. Urgot wants more from life than just to hit things, he wants to be rich, glorious, and feared as a warrior. He's always looking for the next opportunity to test his skills or boost his reputation as a fighter, even if that means turning on an employer. He's also shockingly observant for a brute mercenary, he pays attention to how others speak, move, and fight, learning (to an extent) how to be a better mercenary and warrior.

Strengths:
  • Tough: Urgot is tougher than Corellian boot leather. He's survived being shot, stabbed, run over by a speeder, thrown off a balcony, and beating a Wookiee at Sabacc.
  • Ambitious: Give him an objective (and plenty of credits) and Urgot will go to the ends of the galaxy to get it done. Just be prepared to give him plenty of simple instructions.
  • Cunning(?): Urgot can be shockingly clever for a Gamorrean, as he understands that not every problem can be solved by hitting it. You need to know the best spot to hit, first.
Weaknesses:
  • Ignorant: Urgot isn't mindless, but topics like science, politics, technology, and culture tend to fly right over his head. Be kind, use small words around him.
  • Blunt: Urgot prefers the direct approach. As in, directly approaching his problems with a weapon and crushing them, so he tends to avoid negotiating unless he knows he can get his way.
  • Stubborn: Once Urgot gets an idea in his head, its very hard to get it back out again. At least not without a hefty amount of credits or a crack on the skull.

BIOGRAPHY:
Urgot was born to a minor branch of the Snirrt family on his species homeworld of Gamorr, to a blacksmith and a farmer who lived on the outskirts of the clan stronghold. His early life was spent farming toadstools, forging weapons, and using said weapons to beat up other Gamorrean boars and steal their toadstools. It was a simple life, but there wasn't much room for upward mobility and Urgot wanted more from life than violence and mushrooms, he wanted lots of violence and really expensive mushrooms. Urgot regularly participated in raids, border skirmishes, and duels of honor with other boars, taking any opportunity to show off his might to the matrons of the Snirrt. But as the clan, and the planet, was full of other competing boars, Urgot soon realized he would need to find a new way to make a name for himself.

So he signed up with a pack of Gamorrean mercenaries headed for former Hutt space to serve as a bodyguard for a minor noble on a backwater world. It was a rather boring post, at least compared to the regular warfare on Gamorr, but it gave Urgot a chance to see how other species fought, and a chance to see all kinds of fantastic new weapons not available on Gamorr. It as also a short contract, since the noble was poisoned by a retainer after a few years and chose not to renew the Gamorrians' contracts. This suited Urgot just fine, as it allowed him to force his way on the first shuttle offworld, looking for his next potential source of credits and glory.

Freed from any obligations, Urgot wandered the galaxy, selling his services as a mercenary, looking for dangerous contracts where he could test his skills and build a reputation. Once whispers of a new Hutt Consortium reached him, however, he knew they would be the best place to grow as a warrior, and he set off for Hutt space eagerly.

SKILLS
Urgot specializes in close-quarters combat with vibro-weapons including axes, lances, spears, and short blades, as well as in a direct fist fight. He's large, tough, and has enough technique and experience to be a major threat in melee combat, even against multiple opponents. Urgot knows the basics of using close-range blasters and slugthrowers, and knows to throw grenades after you turn them on, but before they blow up. He's not a mechanic or scientist by any means, but he knows enough about blacksmithing and field survival to slap crude tools together or keep himself alive in the wild. While he can only speak Gamoresse, he understands Huttese and Basic well enough, plus the curse words in a few other languages.
