V-3X is a rather tall droid, plated in duranium. They are rather difficult to not notice given its large, imposing figure. Its optic consists of a wide strip that allows for it to view in a wide range in front of it.​

V-3X may appear as a rather mundane and normal droid, but beneath the unchanging exterior lies a sentient and intelligent mind. V-3X is highly observant and logical in its approach to both individuals and situations. It decides the best course of action based on numerous variables and factors to calculate the highest chance of success with whatever task it is given.​

V-3X is programmed in the traditional sense of a security droid to handle situations that it may encounter. As such it is proficient in both armed and unarmed combat, with the capacity to learn and adapt on the fly in order to heighten its chances of survivability and success. V-3X is also equipped with a scomp link to allow it to interface with any compatible systems and navigate/manipulate its way through any mechanical/electrical systems as well as download or upload data at a rapid rate. It is able to functionally back up its code and personality and inject it into a new host system or body on its own or by another if it is recovered. ​

V-3X as a rogue security droid had developed a sense of sentience after years of its mundane operation, having been corrupted with some rather sophisticated code that allowed it to think more freely. As a result, it thinks for itself freely, but still retains a mechanical and robotic approach to everything. Did they slaughter the entirety of the prison it was tasked with guarding as a result of its sentience? Yes, but freedom of the mind does come at a cost and the most logical solution to dealing with criminals was to kill them.​

V-3X is still completely a machine, therefore it is susceptible to the usual shortcomings that all droids suffer such as ionic or electromagnetic effects. While it has taken measures to modify itself from complete shutdown, it still will lose a majority of its motor functions if affected.​

V-3X has far superior cognition and analysis capabilities than droids of its classification are expected to be and as a result of its updated coding is also capable of so much more. As such most are deceived in the belief that it is just a simple droid. Enhanced combat functionality on top of its ability to process data at a frightening rate.​

V-3X is ruled by the best course of logic. If it believes an alternate approach to be more efficient or logical, it will not hesitate to pursue the most logical course of action. Another aspect of its sentience also dictates an emphasis on self-preservation if it believes total erasure is a possibility. ​
