OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
With the expense and danger present in gathering materials like Beskar, Cortosis, Phrik or Song Steel the galaxy needed a more affordable alternative and so the minds at Nelson Prototyping decided they would simply create said metal rather than wait for such to be made.
The metal known as "V6-L20" is a lightweight metal that was synthetically created. Treated with the Force in order to be made as lightweight as possible during the creation process, the metal when combined with other metals into alloys thus makes them lighter than they would be when combined with other metals.
Unfortunately as a trade off to what was done to the metal, Force Dampening techniques or materials would make it as fragile as glass. It also has an Extreme Vulnerability to Acids, Kinetic Weaponry, and Sonic Weaponry.
