She is in remarkable physical shape her legs and arms corded with muscles that flex powerfully with every slight movement she makes. Furthermore, she has a tattoo of aurabesh script on the small of her back and aurodium jewelry around her wrists, upper arms, ankles and neck inset with various crystals.

- Bio Master: Skilled among the jedi masters in altering and healing the body on the smallest levels through the art of the small. She is skilled and knows how to use it to fold her presence to the smallest flicker or alter the properties of tears to accelerate healing.
- Life-Bearer: She is able to bond with one who is close to death, sharing energy and restoring them for a short period of time to youthful stamina and vitality. It wears off and they will die but it also prolongs her life slightly.

Born on Leria Kerlsil and discovered by the jedi watchman of the sector. He took her to one of the temples and it was learned when she was a teenager.... that she was a life bearer of her people. A being with the ability to bond with another and extend their lives. Often times being bequeathed as payment for their gift the estate of their husband or in some cases wives. Given that it was a rare thing the jedi allowed her to go with her master to her homeworld where she could preform her jedi duties and by extension she would be able to fulfill her duties on the planet. She did this for centuries and faced the Gulag plague as it came to her world and many more died. A jedi knight by that time she had been active on the world and used what wealth she accumulated to aid the people and any ships from those who bonded with her to try and save the people.
The resulting dark age of the galaxy saw Vaata largely remaining on her planet trying to protect it from raiders who might find their way there and preforming her duties as a life-bearer. Regaining what she used and spent in the plague to protect who she could. The jedi contacting the world was a welcoming moment. Allowing her to rejoin the order and offer them what information she could. Eventually, she met a young jedi padawan who was training as a researcher and had followed some information to her world. That was her first encounter with Matsu as she trained the jedi on the planet and explained what she had learned about the force from her years of life. Even going so far as to invite the padawan to her wedding to understand. The ceremony was mixed, as the paadawan didn't seem to understand how the jedi allowed marriage at the time.
Given the age and time the order eventually changed as she saw but explaining that because of her species and what she was. She shared energy with another to preserve her life but it bestows upon another a gift. Those who fear death and need extra time to come to terms with it. She was the master for a time to the padawan and trained her more on the planet as they could travel and with her husband passing the padawanship of Matsu ended as she became a knight and worked with Chora another knight whom Vaata noted shared a bond with the young Atrisian. She was happy to see a few years later when they were married as the order itself was changing and compared to many of the others who announced it the two kept their union mostly quiet. Never hiding it but also never making it public knowledge.
She would spend the next few decades giving the gift of her blood kiss to several others and training a handful of other padawans. Largely left to her own devices given that she never ventured to far from her husbands or wives aside from a year or two. They would let her train a handful of padawans as well and the jedi master mostly avoided the larger battles offering healing and information to those who come to her. She offered safe haven to the people when the celestial Akala attacked and the Bryn. Staying there until she was visited one day by her old padawan.... Matsu was different from the wide-eyed little girl and it was quite lovely. She jumped at the chance to aid her cause as the silver jedi whom she had heard whispers of were leaving their temples for another to fulfill a larger goal and she wanted the aid of the lost masters.
Vaata agreed but not because she was complimented, she could aid other jedi and was taken to the High Plane... observing something she had never seen before as the little padawan who had been surprised as a wedding... was now one of the more research and development minded among the orders. Created massive megastructures that she would help with. Taking her husband and being able to aid others in the galaxy who seek the blood kiss would be important and she would be able to share her knowledge and wisdom with them.
