Vacation on Bothawui (Genesis)

A single Lee-class star destroyer emerged from hyperspace at the edge of Bothawui. Far enough away that it could not be considered an immediate threat. The ship was large enough to discourage pirates, but by itself would stand no chance against the system's defenses. The choice of ship had been very carefully considered, as had every other aspect of this mission.

"This is the ISS Dashi requesting clearance to approach the planet Bothawui. We have an encrypted message for Grand Marshall Rostu that we are transmitting along with this message."

The message, marked for the Grand Marshall, was encrypted in codes established during the Ithor Treaty. It depicted the recently declared Galactic Empire seated in a seat aboard the star destroyer. The frame was zoomed in enough that the Imperial Guards surrounding him were off screen, for this was a message from one leader to another.

"Grand Marshall Rostu, I have come to discuss terms to which to unite our countries. I believe it to be in both our interests to unite, given the instability caused by recent events. This Galaxy may not be at peace, but that does not mean our two countries cannot create a peace of our own."

The appearance of the Lee-class Star Destroyer from the depths of hyperspace had cause a reaction that could be considered standard by national protocols. The local sector fleet began to buzz with activity and barked orders from several officers began to fill the military channels. However, the standard response was quickly changed when the origins of the vessel were revealed, coupled with an encrypted message that made its way along the private channels until it manifested into being before the Grand Marshal's eyes. He, seated within his office as typical, had not been expecting the unannounced arrival of the Galactic Empire's monarch, but regardless he would be a gracious host to his esteemed guest.

"Ah, Emperor Kahoshi, a pleasure to see you." began the clone, greeting the man with a nod of respect, "I cannot agree more. Recent events have made the potential for Galactic peace all but a dream, however, I have no qualms about discussing a relationship between our nations. You are, of course, cleared to approach Bothawui."

"Thank you Grand Marshall," Akio said graciously. A small off screen gesture set the star destroyer moving forward. "In our past encounters we were not able to discuss matters at length. I felt that there is much we can learn from each other, and that we can forge a lasting relationship that will benefit both of our peoples greatly. If your staff will transmit the details for a meeting to mine, then we can begin a discussion of such important matters."

It would take a few minutes to reach the planet yet, which gave Akio time to head to his shuttle. In preparation, it had already been loaded with supplies. "I hope you would not take offense to a small contingent of my Guard accompanying me during travel?" It was not that the Emperor distrusted the other man, there was simply always a chance that an enemy spy or radical Confederate might seize on a chance to kill the Atrisian. It was actually that possibility that had lead to the trip being unannounced, to prevent interception by the enemy.
