SPECIAL COMPONENTS:
Designed as an after-market armor kit, which can be worn together with the Vagabond Survival Suit to offer enhanced combat protection to users, the Vagabond Armor Kit is a throwback to a bygone era. During the Clone Wars, many Jedi adapted to wearing customized versions, in part or in full, of the armor worn by the Clone Troopers they commanded and fought beside. The result was form-fitting armor, in dozens of configurations, which did not impede their Jedi fighting styles, movement, and did not deter from the aesthetic that the Jedi Order had created for itself.
The Vagabond Armor Kit maintains this tradition now. Using exceptionally high-strength polymer plastoid, the custom pieces are 3-D printed for the user, ensuring a snug, perfect fit every time. Protecting the neck, shoulders, upper chest, back, torso, pelvis, thighs, and lower legs, they can be customized and configured exactly how users wish, enabling them to be tailored to every need and mission profile. Able to withstand a great deal of kinetic damage, they are also terrific protection against lightsaber-type weapons and blasters, able to receive several direct hits before losing their protective edge. The components neither increase the silhouette nor the overall weight nor inhibit total freedom of movement to the wearer, being resistant to all manner of corrosion, elemental damage, and even EMP/Ion threats. The components can be made in most any color, enabling for them to be swapped out with black and grey for night missions, with camouflage patterns for woodland or jungle-scapes, khaki brown for deserts, and more. Each kit comes with a full set of replacement pieces, and more can be specially-ordered or made later on demand for an additional cost.
Special load-bearing systems, based on those used by previous incarnations of Scout Troopers, allow users to carry survival equipment, extra munitions, etc. easily and comfortably, without sacrificing movement or tiring the user. They special utility pouches are made from highly durable neoprene, reinforced with shell spider silk, making it resistant to the elements and indirect blaster fire also.
Like the armor of the Jedi of eras past however, the armor does not provide the same coverage and protection as other modern full-bodied suits. It’s not intended to be. Never intended as battlefield heavy armor, it is meant to provide protection, mobility, and utility but not for wading into the midst of massive battles or facing down wave upon wave of hostile attackers.
