Julian Valentine is recognized for two reasons, his successful career in bounty hunting, an astounding 100% success rate, and his iconic helmet. It's strange and alien designed has been commented on by many, from its flared wings that inspire thoughts of a hammerhead, or an Ithorian, to the strange markings that curve down the center.
Unlike other bounty hunters, especially the Mandalorians, Julian doesn't rely on invincible metals or full-body powersuits. Valentine wears only a helmet, along with his uniform consisting of two bandoleers, poncho, cloak, tunic and trousers. While the helmet itself is resistant to kinetic and blaster attacks, the rest of his body is open season for gunslingers.
The helmet was designed to be a jack-of-all trades, featuring a targeting system, 360° views, advanced HUD, audio and visual recorders and an internal comlink, among others. The wings were designed to be purely cosmetic, but still hold some integral wiring for the MFTAS. The remainder of the functions and components exist around the primary zone of helm
The inside cushions are made of an armorweave for maximum comfort and blaster resistance, while the metal plating outside is made of a durasteel. A crystalline mesh coats the helmet to provide resistance to EMP and Ion damage. This is due to Valentine regularly using EMP grenades to disable Force User lightsabers.
