- Force imbued: The armor pieces are Force-imbued by Valery with the purpose of allowing her an easier and greater focus on channeling it in combat. This heightens her precognitive skills, as well as her ability to use the Force defensively or offensively.
- Utility belt: The armor has a belt with multiple attachment slots. She can carry anything from her lightsaber to a grappling hook or medical equipment and tools.
- Comlink gauntlet: The left gauntlet is designed with an integrated comlink unit so she can communicate with fellow Jedi and soldiers on the battlefield without needing a separate communications device.
- Combat resistances: The armor was designed to be resistant against the most common types of weaponry. This makes it highly resistant in most scenarios. The specific strengths are designed especially to handle lightsabers and blasters. The alloy the armored pieces are made of both are known to be lightsaber resistant, thus also energy resistant. Additionally, it shields against kinetic-type weapons and the elements well, too.
- Force imbued: The fact the armor is Force-imbued allows her to be even more capable in combat than she already was. Since it's imbued with her own energy, it especially augments the skills that she is proficient with. This means greater defensive and offensive prowess with the Force, heightened precognitive skills, and stronger protection against influences of the Dark Side.
- Weight: The Armor is quite heavy and thus makes it much harder to use the acrobatic form of Ataru, which is favored by Valery. Additionally, exhaustion will be far greater of a problem in prolonged combat as well.
- Force nullification: In an area where the Force is nullified, the benefits of the armor being Force imbued are completely negated.
- Resistance focus: While resistant against a few damage types, the armor offers little to no protection against many other sources of danger, such as radiation, sonic detonators, and environmental attacks.
- Between the plates: The extreme resistances against lightsabers and energy weapons apply only to the white armored plated pieces. The rest of the armor is less resistant against these weapons.
Ever since Valery became a Jedi Padawan, she had a great combative focus. First during her time serving as a Jedi guardian on the frontlines, and later as a Jedi Shadow as well. While she typically preferred clothing that would not restrict her movements, she recognized that long battlefield campaigns were too dangerous without armor. It was often only a matter of time before a stray blaster bolt or some flying debris would strike, and having protection against that is crucial.
For this reason, she worked with Artisans to develop armor that she could wear on the Battlefield. It meant she could no longer easily make use of her agility and speed and would be forced into other forms of lightsaber combat instead.
The armor was designed using a Turadium-Phrik alloy to make it extremely resistant against especially lightsabers and blasters, the two types of weapons she fought against most. By imbuing it with her Force energy to augment her capabilities with the Force to even greater heights, it truly transformed into proper Jedi Battle Armor for the Jedi Battlemaster.
