Val'halla's Sloppy Seconds

Valik

Professor of Alchemy
When Valik had reached out to his contacts about trying to find a live Anzati to undergo some testing aid came from the most unlikely of sources, a Stennes Shifter he'd encountered only a few days prior. An unassuming character by nature it seemed he'd hoped to motivate the man to gain connections, resources, attempt to do more than just blend in, and he had seemingly accomplished that from his ability to procure an Anzati. Oddly enough not only did he provide an Anzati, but a willing test subject at that. Made things a whole lot easier for him.

"Did Trechtus inform you of what you'd be doing?" He asked, a loaded question, as Valik hadn't told Trechtus what he was planning.

"No," replied I, still unsure of why exactly I had followed Trechtus' advice. "He isn't a very talkative fellow, you know. Though I do believe he mentioned money... how did he phrase it? 'Get Experimented. Get credits.' Yes, I think that was it."

Of course that was the entire reason I was here. I had been assured in no uncertain terms that f I didn't pay Globba the Hutt a rather substantial amount of credits for my gambling fees that I would be dead within the week. I rather enjoy being alive, you see, so experimentation sounded much better than death. That is, if I didn't come out looking like Trechtus. Not to say that my dear friend was homely, but... well, the Stennes species have not exactly been endowed with grace and beauty.

Valik stifled a small chuckle. "That certainly sounds like him." He said, before waving a few fingers, telekinetically flipping a few switches and lighting another room. Inside the room Sasha would see the body a 3 meter long Maelibus, chained to an examination table. "Most simply put, I am paying you to eat." He said to the Anzati, before pulling out a small microchip out of his pocket. "I'll have to put this under your skin, anywhere is fine and I"ll remove it afterwards, but data on how your body reacts and absorbs the energy is best observed from inside the body itself, rather than out."

"This won't be your only meal, just your first. Do you require any preparations aside from implantation?"

Click.

Light.

I blinked away the artificial illumination before fully realizing just what exactly I was staring at. A horned creature that had to be over three meters tall was strapped to table. The light reflected off the beast's hide, many overlapping scales of a molten gold hue. Its fingers ended in large claws and it bore teeth made for biting and rending.

The scientist's words fell on my ears and comprehension slowly dawned. "That? You want me to eat that?" I sputtered, not sure whether to be ecstatic or afraid. How was I supposed to know that it couldn't rip through those bindings and eat me instead? Then again... I hadn't eaten in a while. The beast radiated power. The deliciousness of soup was not predicated off of connection to the Force alone, though it certainly helped. I imagined that this creature would taste intoxicating. I licked my lips and glanced at the scientist, who was now holding a microchip.

"Uhm. Ok. Stick it in me."

"This will hurt a little." Valik said as he took a scalpel and cut a small hole in the Anzati's forearm, before installing the microchip. From there held his hand over the wound and stitched it together with a touch of Art of the Small. Next he opened the door into the cell, leaving the Anzati a free path to the ensnared Maelibus.

"Whenever you're ready." He said, as he calibrated his Datapad, making sure it was getting signals from both the Maelibus and Anzati's implants. Though the Maelibus was not Force Sensitive he still needed to monitor the consumption from both angles. "And don't fill yourself up too much. I have at least three more subjects for you to consume." He said, hopefully making the Anzati act faster, to get to his next meal quicker.
