Designed to move weapons and "sensitive" systems for the various Directorate companies and groups while being able to provide a decent defense. The Valiant-class arms freighter is designed to generally be able to hold its own while carrying more dangerous cargo that doesn't need to be captured. Armed with Blackout and Urr particle cannons, along with point defense turrets combined with heavy shields and hull platting, the frigate sized craft is able to hold it's own against normal pirate forces. The craft's four ion-jet engines also allow it to move more quickly than other freighters it's size. The Valiant-class also have a modular cargo bay to allow for various cargo.
While the vessel is well suited for its job, it does have its drawbacks. The Valiant's cargo bay is small compared to its size, limiting how much any one ship can carry at once. At the same time, while these freighters are armed their weapon systems have limited crossing fire, making it more difficult to engage full blown warships in its weight class.
