Description:
The primary role of the Valiant-class is that of escort and support. It uses its small attack craft complement and defensive weapon systems to defend other vessels and itself from attack craft and projectile weapon systems.
Defensively it retains the same systems from its predecessor the MCL40-class. Its weapons systems have however been modified to represent its new classification as an escort. The class has limited offensive capabilities as it only has two batteries of offensive turbolasers. These batteries flank the vessel on the rim and can fire into the forward broadside and aft arcs.

A hanger is positioned amidships along the rim opening to both left and right arcs. This hanger houses supports and repairs its three squadrons of attack craft and other support craft. It also houses any visiting craft when necessary.
