Stand Noviciates. You chose between death and life in the Valkyries. You've chosen well, perhaps you still wonder why? You've only yourself to thank, it was your willingness to come to the dark side, your prowess on the field of battle and the aura that surrounded you. Look beside you, to your left and to your right are your sisters. These women are your family now, the strongest of you will move on to become Battle Sisters, the others will perish.

Being a Valkyrie is to be a guardian of death. Death is the final end, a painful truth to the beautiful lie that is life. Our Matriarch Darth Avacyn has given us three charges in which to follow. The first of which is to grow our sisterhood, just like you - there are women who are conflicted about their place. Their place within their various orders, place within the Force and perhaps life. Bring them here so we might show them that we have a place for them here at our table. The second charge is to that of the dead, respecting the wishes of the souls that we ferry. It is said that the strongest of us can even bring someone back. Only, however, at the wish of the soul, we ferry. Lastly, our charge is to ourselves - we must care for one another. For without we are nothing, protect each other on the battlefield and ensure our wellbeing off the battlefield.

A Valkyrie is known by her weapons and her powers, our weapons are not the typical Sith lightsaber or even Sithsword. We carry vibrospear, light shields and an array of weapons that are not seen elsewhere. Your weapon is your life, it is attuned to you and to you specifically. Second and perhaps most vital the Valkyries are harness the powers of the Netherworld, manifesting these in the form of mental abilities and a spectral like form.

You may notice that there are others here that are not quite like you here. You see Noviciate, our sisters are also those of the Banshees and the Einherjar. Banshees are veterans of war who have lost their spouses, children - everything they hold dear. They want nothing more than to vanquish their foes. Their eternal woes are transformed into wails of damnation, sonic cries that ripple across the realm. While the Einherjar are souls bound to armor at their own request, but there are those brave Einherjar who are living. They are non-Force Users, trained to fight Force Users such as yourselves. They train with their undead sisters and when they perish from this galaxy their armor can hold their souls. So that they too - can continue to fight for all eternity.
