APPEARANCE:
Valya has a lithe, but athletic build, lending to her extensive training in gymnastics. She moves with great grace and fluidity. Valya stands average height and has a healthy weight for her body type. She has always favored keeping her black hair long and often styled very elaborately. Valya is often seen wearing ornate garb, most often long dresses and robes. She always stands tall, with perfect and practiced posture to maintain a regal appearance.
PERSONALITY:
To the outsider, Valya would likely seem a bit cold and not overly friendly. She is a quiet person, taking much of her time to be introspective and thoughtful. Valya takes pride in being cordial and polite, always projecting an eerily calm demeanor. Although she appears stone-faced most of the time, when she’s alone or with close company she does tend to loosen up (but not too much).
BIOGRAPHY:
Valya grew up in a wealthy family; they lived near the Palace, and it was an ever present reminder of her family’s goals for her future. Her mother and father spared no expense when it came to Valya’s education and training to someday enter the palace. They had always known that she did not have the personality or disposition to be Queen, but they still had high hopes for her.
She was chosen to train as a Handmaiden by the Captain of Security due to her skills as a gymnast and her ability to walk softly, almost unseen. While she did enter training later than most Handmaidens, she learned quickly to catch up with the others. Valya excelled at the agility course, easily evading most attacks and her marksmanship was acceptable. However, she was certainly lacking when it came to feats of martial arts and close combat. This is an area where she is still working diligently to learn at the secret handmaiden training compound.
Valya takes pride in her position as a Royal Handmaiden to the Queen of Naboo, and she is fiercely loyal to her. She is dedicated to any task given to her, and finds palace life to be rewarding.
