- Versatility: The Nightbane is a blaster rifle that uses its unique construction to shift between long range firing as a Sniper and Medium to Short Range as its Assault Form. This gives it a wide range of versatility in combat.
- DLT-19x Base: Since it was originally a DLT-19xTargeting Blaster as a Sniper, before gaining the additional assault mode, its long range shots can be extremely deadly upon a body hit without heavy armour.
- High Stopping Sniper Bolts: Due to the heavy damaging bolts fired by the Sniper form of Nightbane, it has enough force to easily knock off targets from their vehicles or even penetrate decent physical armour like plating or metals.
- Clip/ Pack size: Due to its Sniper like construction as a basis for the whole weapon and its switching capabilities, it doesn't have as large a ammunition capacity that other blasters will have such as Rapid Blasters.
- DLT-19x Targeting Blaster base: Due to its still function as a sniper of such strong caliber, it has a very low rate of fire due to it having to cool down between shots or switching modes. That was remodeled to fire faster, but not to the extent of the Assault Mode.
Now on an actual mission, Vanessa in her finalized armor had brought along her newest creation. The Nightbane, a special Assault Sniper she had designed herself. She had tried it before going on this mission to see if it was as good as she hoped. All it took was a single shot from its high powered Sniper mode to pierce 3 pieces of thin metal she found laying around. It had proved equally good in its Assault mode when trying it out of multiple moving targets. Her Combat Visor aiding her in highlighting the targets as they appeared, and the just shy of High rate of fire was enough to hit every single one in range.
With its Neuranium casing across its main body, barrel and scope, it was a very hard to see gun in the shadows. Whilst her armor wasn't meant for stealth, this weapon's long range made it lethal from all sorts of positions. All it took was one well placed shot to the head of a wandering wild beast (Think of deer or the equivalent in SW) and it was down. However, the sudden appearance of local predators' wasn't to her good fortune as she arrived to take her kill home. As the predators began to move towards her, she pressed a small button next to the grip of the rifle. The Barrel retracted halfway into the blaster, the end opening up to reveal an Assault Blaster barrel inside of the long rectangular casing. The Buttstock also retracted as the same time as the scope flipped down to her right, away from her body as a small holographic sight took its place. With the predators beginning their attack, the sound of 14 rapid shots was all it took to drop half of them. The remaining ones near the back took off flying. Whilst silent from long range, at close range, it was a sound to hear for all. Now taking back her prize and some additional trophies, Vanessa was pleased of her work as she loaded up the meat she had collected into her speeder's carriage and headed of home.
