History

Early Years:

Vaulkhar is the bastard son of Kaine Zambrano and an irrelevant mother from the Planet of Junction. When his father first appeared and began the mass extinction of the planet, it brought great fear to the populace, but some grew to respect the man due to his strength and power. His aunt Kara soon came, enslaving the remainder of the populace. His mother, Rathira, managed to survive and began a life of slavery to those above her. During her time as a slave, she was found to be pregnant which did not bode well for her. She was beaten mercilessly in an attempt to force a miscarriage. The attempt was a failure, thankfully, so she was hidden away and taken care of during the remainder of her pregnancy by a family of Miralukan refugees. Eventually she birthed her first and only son, Vaulkhar, a constant reminder of his father to the broken woman.

Due to his father's blood, the Epicanthix-Echani hybrid was born with common Epicanthix features. However, due to the beating his mother sustained while pregnant with him, the child was born much smaller than others within his family. Those force sensitive Miralukan people were able to see upon the boy a powerful pull to the dark side, the energies themselves radiating from his infant form. His mother, disgusted by his likeness to his father, Kaine, sent the boy away with a smuggler to be taken from Junction and out of her life forever. The smuggler took the infant aboard his ship, leaving him with a Miralukan by the name of Ori. Ori took him in upon realization of who he was, returning to her homeworld with the boy. He was raised as one of her people and until he came of age. Through their training, he learned to see through the force as they did to offer him some skill within the force. Upon his thirteenth birthday, the truth was shared to him of who he really was. The bastard son of the most wanted individual in the galaxy.

Hearing this, the boy fled from his adopted parents. Stealing a simple ship, he fled and sought answers throughout the galaxy. Eventually, the lad found his way to his father on the Planet of Panatha. For years he studied beneath his father in various practices, such as lightsaber and force techniques. As a bastard to the Panathian king, he was rarely afforded time by his father, but Vaulkhar took advantage of what he was given. When he was strong enough, the halfbreed traveled to the Sith temple on Coruscant and joined the One Sith in hopes of legitimizing himself as a true Zambrano.

Lightsaber Forms

​

To put it simply, the lightsaber is Vaulkhar's calling. Every force ability the bastard has added to his repertoire was for the explicit purpose of making him deadlier with the weapon. From a young age a lightsaber was thrust into the boys hands and he was taught to wield it. Living with his adopted parents in his early life gave him a firm understanding of the basics in regards to the weapon, but it was not until Vaulkhar joined his father on Panatha and other Sith in the One Sith did he truly come to master the weapon. So much so, the Dark Lord has granted the title of Emperor's Wrath onto Vaulkhar. While there are many forms, Vaulkhar has dedicated himself primarily to Makashi, Soresu, Vaapad and Sokan.

Vaulkhar's training within Shii-Cho consists of what was necessary in order to move on from the most basic of forms. While he studied it intensely for the first few years of his training from his adopted mother, Ori, he only learned the base requirements in order to be safe and skilled enough while wandering the galaxy, looking for his Father and answers on his past. Upon joining the Sith Academy on Coruscant during his travels, he participated in lightsaber classes there for some time before being found by his first master, Vengeance. During these classes, his knowledge on Shii-Cho was furthered by the Sith instructors. Though the training was much more harsh than with his adopted mother, his skill greatly increased due to the more dangerous environment.

Outside of the Academy upon Coruscant, Vaulkhar began his training outside of Shii-Cho in Makashi, beside and under his first master, Vengeance. Vaulkhar was taught both the strengths and weaknesses of the form. Not physically strong, Vaulkhar took to the form immediately. He enjoyed the form as it allowed him to conserve energy by efficiently moving his body in a display of skill. For years he shaped his combat around being a duelist primarily, favoring the intricate blade work that accompanied Makashi. It was not until he began serving the Emperor directly did his style differ. Acting as a much needed scalpel to cleanse the empire of cancer, Vaulkhar took to other styles. However, when facing a Jedi, Makashi remains his favored style.

After disappearing for some time, Vaulkhar opted to turn to Soresu. While the many styles interested him, he came to realize many of them required either a partner or an enemy to practice upon. Once he left the One Sith and turned to the Silver Sanctum Coalition he swore to himself while he was with the Silver Sanctum he would not murder people in order to train. And because of this, he allowed other areas of combat, aside from Makashi and Shii-Cho to simply degrade as he focused his training solely on that of Soresu during his time of exile. Soresu is the cornerstone of Vaulkhar's defenses, supplemented with the precise bladework of Makashi he is capable of creating a near impenetrable defense until it is time to strike.

Under varying masters such as Darth Ferus and Darth Vyrassu, Vaulkhar studied Ataru, Shien and Djem So to a high level of understanding. While his personal skill in each is lacking in comparison to the aforementioned styles, the theory behind each style is embedded in the halfbreed's brain. Through practice and study in the past, he knows how to approach and deal with these styles on the battlefield. Being a quick thinker and a fan of improvisation, he took to Sokan quick enough and has sense honed his understanding of battle and its ebb and flow.

During his upbringing with his adopted Miralukan parents, Vaulkhar was versed in rather simple lightsaber combat. Though his adoptive father took it upon himself to further his study into a form he himself mastered, Juyo. During his time with the One Sith, within the Academy of Coruscant, he further practiced the style but never quite took to it. Juyo, much like Djem So, had a certain reliance on strength he lacked for many years. Rather than push himself to master strong styles, he opted instead to learn Vaapad. With the recent title bequeathed to the Sith Lord, he has further honed his abilities in the style to accommodate killing Sith for his father, the Dark Lord.
