- Lookalike: The Mistral Blade has many of the same characteristic as a lightsaber type weapon, able to block such weapons as well as deflect plasma based weaponry. It is also able to cut through most standard metals not resistant to lightsabers, and can work in almost every environment.
- Bulky: Despite being similar to lightsabers, the Mistral Blade is a much heavier, bulky weapon. The Draemidus Prime Ore used as the power supply for the blade, as well as the extra energy refinement technology needed to control the unstable material, makes the weapon far heavier than its contemporaries across the galaxy.
The Mistral Blade is a design with an ancient and honored history among the Vaydralen people. Originally made of simple iron, the weapon was used extensively during the warring tribal period on Caerdar, and more Vaydralen died to this blade than any weapon before, and since. Eventually the design was refined to use steel, though the ancient iron blades were still used as Clan heirlooms in the great wars between the Akra. It was not until the Bryn'adul came to Caerdar that the Mistral Blade was refined once again, taking on the design that has begun to make an appearance across the galaxy. Large, bulky and unwieldly to most species, the Mistral Blade is a lethal weapon in the hands of a Vaydralen warrior, and with the new technology gifted to them by their allies, the Mistral Blade is ready to take its place on the galactic stage.
