- Can effectively provide targeting solutions when other jamming (sensor/scanning) is present because a laser technologies introduced
- System is not solely incumbent upon standard sensor systems and utilizes other methods in which to provide improved targeting and projection data through a dedicated targeting computer interface for battlefield calculations
- Systems dedicated to Seeker algorithms able to effectively operate independently or in-line with vessel sensor and scanner systems for more reliable targeting data
- System is able to "learn," or adapt, for better efficiency in targeting/tracking stealth technology due to heightened accuracy accrued from triangulation patterns via laser technology over archaic sensor dependent methods. Dependent upon ability to detected based upon other means to include ion emissions and comm waves/bursts)
- Simplistic user interface (UI) allows for an easy-to-learn system without a significant learning curve
- Visually impairing cloaking systems can render tracking/targeting ineffective
- Stealthed vessels unable to be detected independently and must, instead, have their positions identified through various methods of applying triangulation
- Is not hardened against the effects of an EMP or other situations where similar effects are aiming to be achieved
- Not very functional on a ship of the capital ship variety and is better suited for implementation aboard a Corvette, Frigate or Freighter. Too large to be used in a starfighter or comparable craft.
- Has potential to be locked or jammed by offensive jamming equipment
- Has potential to be hacked by a professional slicer with enough time and skill
Although the idea that serves as the basis for the development of this system is in no means a new one, Valnora Enterprise sought to cut expenditures by creating their own instead of making purchases off the Galactic Marketplace. Further, this allows for the assembly process of any of a number of the ships they manufacture to be expedited.
What the VE/VT-004 Dynamic Targeting Control Module brings is a consolidation of many previously separated systems centered around targeting and tracking into a central structure, leaving it all at the fingertips of the operator. The simplistic design of the User Interface (UI) makes it so that the system is easy to learn and very accessible as well as functional. The system is intended to be installed by default on most Valnora Enterprise ships and vehicles, and among all custom orders.
