Strengths:
- Having lived the majority of his life in the criminal underworld, Veeren is a capable smooth talker.
- Veeren has picked up many skills throughout his travels; mainly his ability to remain still, silent, and unsuspected.
- Veeren has picked up rudimentary knowledge on how to wield and operate a lightsaber. While no expert, he could hold his own against an Acolyte.
Weaknesses:
- Veeren is very distrusting of anyone he comes in contact with; making him constantly on edge.
- Having never truly been taught methods of self-control, Veeren doesn't know how to control his anger or his emotions; leading to fits of rage and uncontrolled episodes of force use.
APPEARANCE:
Veeren is very typical in his appearance Chiss-wise. He has the typical blue skin, black hair, and red eyes that one could find in Chiss throughout the galaxy. Unlike most Chiss, however, his hair has grown out to shaggy lengths and become more informal than what one would see in a well-mannered Chiss officer that many see the Chiss as in modern society. Veeren always wears cloaks and clothing reminiscent of a Jedi Knight along with a sheath on his back to hold his second lightsaber. He keeps it there instead of on his belt due to his inability to operate both at once. On his belt, he keeps his usual yellow-bladed lightsaber that only sees action when worst comes to worst and Veeren is forced to. Alongside the lightsaber is a Blastech DL-22 which is typically Veeren's weapon of choice if he is forced to fight.
BIOGRAPHY:
Veeren hailed from a family that worked to serve House Csapla in their duty of overseeing resource management and colonial affairs within the Chiss Ascendency and the planets that it governed before its collapse. Growing up, Veeren went through gifted education programs and excelled at his classes and programs that he was put through in order to please his parents that were growing ever busier in serving and trying to please their Csapla rulers. As the Chiss never truly had a program for force sensitive children and how to deal with them, Veeren never was given attention to the odd occurrences that would happen at random points throughout his childhood such as chairs lifting a few centimeters off of the ground, books flying off of tables, and pushing boys much stronger than him onto the ground. Veeren went through courses and saw a promising future in the Expeditionary Force as he trained in the use of blaster rifles, vibroblades, staffs, and stealth. While the career choice was slightly upsetting to his parents, they accepted him nonetheless and promised to support him wherever he may want to go. As his 14th year approached, however, Veeren and his parents were sent to a colony world on the fringes of Chiss space to deal with a supposed riot that had broken out and attempt to barter peace with the locals. Instead, a large Pirate crew appeared from hyperspace as Veeren and his family were making their way to the world and wrecked their ship; leaving them open and vulnerable. The pirates quickly took Veeren and his family; selling Veeren to slavers, killing his father, and giving his mother to a Hutt. Veeren was forced to endure the life of a slave aboard a pirate fleet for 3 years until a new face appeared aboard the ship; an old Jedi wiseman who had grown disillusioned with the order and had been captured by slavers during one of his travels. The master instantly realized Veeren's force potential and started gradually revealing to him his identity and what Veeren truly was. He slowly began teaching Veeren how to use his abilities as carefully as possible such as inconspicuously moving a fork or plate closer to himself or moving his chair just by a few centimeters as to avoid detection. After another year of teachings and planning, Veeren and the Jedi mutinied with the other slaves onboard and quickly overwhelmed their slavers. The master brandished his two yellow bladed lightsabers and carved his way through the ship, sustaining numerous injuries along the way until the pair had reached the escape pod bay. There, the two hopped into a pod and piloted their way onto the desolate wasteland of Tatooine below. Due to the injuries sustained and the lack of medical care, Veeren watched as his last contact died before him. Veeren donned the master's robes and gear along with a blaster pistol taken from the ship. As the use of two lightsabers was too advanced for Veeren, he only donned and became comfortable with the use of one while hoping to learn how to utilize the two or possibly use them in a conjoined manner.
For the next 8 years, Veeren spent his life acting as a Bounty Hunter, a mercenary, and an assassin as he utilized his set of skills to make himself a living and build a reputation among the underground community. As his former master had been trained as a Jedi Sentinel, he parted Veeren with the knowledge of his class and that which he had formerly done; the path of a Jedi Shadow. Veeren was instantly intrigued and attempted to utilize as much of their teachings and abilities into his routine as possible such as silence, invisibility, intrigue, and smooth-talking to get his way. Veeren has no interest in joining the Jedi or Sith orders but rather discovering how to best use his abilities and craft his own unique style by mixing ideas of a Jedi Shadow with that of the criminal underworld. Now, he continues his never ending voyage around the galaxy to complete his training and build a name for himself.
