Velok's Selling Our Poodoo

In this thread.

I suggest a Republic or Jedi representative goes and attempts to SMARTLY outbid people for the following items:
  • Lot T: Darkstaff, REFORGED
  • Lot X: 10 Holocrons, likely some of ours! We can destroy the Sith holocrons.
  • Lot Y: Healing Crystals of Fire, Jedi Relic
  • Lot Z: Belt of Bodo Baas, Jedi Relic

And to make the thing weirder, Velok's asking for non-monetary means of buying those items. Not sure how that works for an auction, but I guess we have to offer stuff and put an ARV to that.

Actually, legal actions would not give you a bad reputation. They stole the stuff. Are hosting the auction on a planet right at the border of our space if not in our space (map is kind of ambiguous) and yeah. Legal action. Bapow.

@[member="Selena Halcyon"] People did, they just Force Drained everyone, somehow survived and three Sith (Plus Spencer Jacobs on stealthy stealing duty) somehow got past a bunch of Jedi, while somehow corrupting Jedi NPCs and turning them against the player ones along the way.

I'm not happy with it, but it got allowed OOC for some odd reason, so all we can do is live with it, maybe try and get the stuff back since all they did with it was an auction. Would have to take it up with the others.

Apparently the stolen goods aren't at the auction house. However:

Allowing the auction house to proceed will likely cause our stolen objects to scatter across the galaxy. Velok will get super rich, which is most likely what he desires. He will also have the ability to hold sway for big corporations as well as planets and military starcraft. This doesn't sound like a good thing for a rogue Sith Lord to have.

The Toydarian and auction house staff will have to have been contacted somehow. They will know where to send the money/goods much like what Ebay would do in an auction such as this. That can be the lead in chasing Velok.

Since Velok isn't mentioned in the thread, he likely isn't there.

The logic for the raid is like this: Would you rather chase one MacGuffin across the galaxy, or 10 pieces of the MacGuffin with the chance of having a couple of those pieces and paying the person that stole it?

The Jedi Council says no. Intervening would be the worst political move in the history of ever. That's why there's a Jedi Council member bidding.

If you do it, you're doing it against the Council's decision.
