Description: The Venan Ducal Guard is a unit of specially trained soldiers who are responsible for the safety of the reigning Duke of Vena. The Ducal Guard is a subset of the Venan Guard, and most Venan Soldiers who make it into the Guard have their eyes set on becoming one of the Ducal Guard.
As the selection process of the Venan Guard already includes a review of previous military service within the Galactic Republic or Military Allies and an undertaking of Venan citizenship, the Ducal Guards methods must go one step further. The Commandant of the Ducal Guard, who is also the Commandant of the Venan Guard as a whole, keeps a running review of all active duty Venan Guards. To attain selection for the Ducal Guard, a Venan Guard must have a good record of military service within the Venan Guard for a minimum of five years, maintain Venan citizenship for the previous ten years and swear loyalty to the Duke of Vena.
This unit is outfitted with ACS-004 Olympian Battle Armor and ACS-205 Advanced Dual Weapon System.
