Like other Mandalorians, Vengral possesses a warrior's pride. He sees failing to honor his contract, or running from battle, as a highly dishonorable act. He views those who do break contracts, or run, with deep disdain. If a Mandalorian cannot keep his word, what worth does he have?
Those same standards apply to those who offer him contracts. He expects them to hold-up their end of the bargain, and if not, he would never work with them again. He would also bring grand reckoning down on them, and get his money. You do not screw-over a Mandalorian.
He rarely holds ill-will towards his targets, but a job's a job, and a Mandalorian's gotta get paid.
He's also a big fan of the Galactic Wrestling Federation.
Later in life, he took mercenary work for credits. He enjoyed shooting things, and now he got to be paid for it. He was very happy. He built up a fairly impressive portfolio of work, and later did a few jobs with Draco Vereen. This working relationship continued, eventually leading to the survival school on Vendexa. In typical Mandalorian fashion, Vengarl was thrown out of moving plane, and told to survive for a week.
He had to scavenge for food and water, craft makeshift weapons, and suffer the dull boredom of nature. It was fairly uneventful week all up. Draco eventually returned for the armor, with Vengarl still in possession of it. He passed the test, and was inducted into the clan. He took the name of the clan, Vereen, to substitute for his lack of one. He then converted from gutter rat, to Mandalorian. The pay was much better.
