- Targeting Computer: The Vengeance Class Heavy Turbolaser has a built in targeting computer, allowing the weapon itself to track targets separate from the sips own targeting computers, allowing it to operate more efficiently.
- Alternating Fire: The Vengeance is able to alternate its firing mode, from firing all eight barrels at once to alternating between four at a time, decreasing firepower but greatly increasing its firing rate.
- Orbital: The sheer weight and recoil of the Vengeance Class prevents the Turbolaser from being deployed on the surface of planets, forcing it to be a predominantly starship only weapon.
- Power Drain: The Vengeance Class cannot fire at full power for extended periods of time, doing so will rapidly drain the power supply for the weapon. It takes an extensive amount of time to fully resupply the weapon.
Facing warships of immense size and quantity, the Mandalorian Union decided that the best solution was to get a bigger gun. The Vengeance Class Heavy Turbolaser is designed to give Union warships a chance to hit above their weight class in a fight, and deliver a devastating amount of firepower to the enemy in a short amount of time.
