STRENGTHS
- Ballistic gel: with the use of ballistics gel inserted between two layers of armorweave -the bottom layer thinner than the top- Venku is able to take on most blunt force attacks.
- Customization: Due to the way the beskar'gam was forged, it's easily customizable
- Can't touch This: Being made of Beskar, the plates provides protection against most forms of direct attack.
- Bet You Didn't Expect This: With the Liquid aenite, Venku's Berskar'gam has extreme resistances to emp and ion based attacks.
WEAKNESSES
- You probably expected this: Due to the use of beskar in the armor, it is susceptible to ARC based weapons, which super heat the metal and burn the wearer to a crisp
- Shake Your Tail Back and Forth: There is no armor on the tail, which is instead only covered by a skin suit and armor weave, relying on the limbs naturally fast reflexes and flexibility to avoid most attacks.
- Sensitive hearing: While the helmet contains average defense against sonic weapons, a high enough weapon could easily ply havoc on the beskar'gam's systems, along with being more painful than average due to the wearer's sensitive hearing.
- Heavy load: Due to the natural weight of beskar, This armor is heavy and moving in it for long periods of time can be tiring.
When the time came for Venku to forge his armor, he couldn't have been more excited. He had been planning this for years, designing it in his head over and over. By the time he was fourteen he was all good to go. All he needed now was his mother to help him forge it. Then, a week before he was set to begin forging, Venku's mother was killed in the Red Coronation. Left reeling by the sudden lose, he could hardly think about setting foot in the forge, much less making the armor the two of them would have made together.
Drawn in by the death of his mother, Venku's older brother, Riil came back to Concordia to spend time with his family. The two of them began to forge the armor together, the process becoming one of healing. As time went on and each piece needed reforging - Venku's species being rare among mandalorians made much of the forging a trial and error process - Riil taught his younger brother the way of the armorer, teaching him to forge his own armor instead of leaning on him.
Slowly, the armor began to take a more permanent shape. First the chest piece which was the easiest and then the bracers and pauldrons until it all fell into place. By the end of two long years, Venku had created a unique set of armor. Some of it remained similar to what many are familiar with, such as the pauldrons and breast plate. Other parts were noticeably different, like the boots, made for more mobility in his feet and broken into three pieces, the toes, the top of the foot, and the ankle which extended back like a cat's. The helmet too was unique, a sleeker, mandalorian styled helmet that took it's shape from the helmets of the Zygerrian slavers. The armor wasn't just one of a kind physically; to Venku it represented the healing from his mothers death. Forged with his brother at his side - a situation that had only happened once since Riil left to see the larger galaxy - and forged while war was fought on their home. It meant both suffering and healing. Even the shape of the helmet, based so much off those of slavers, added to this statement. That a helmet so similar to that of slavers would be worn by a mandalorian, who were well known for bringing former slaves into their families and cultures, was something ironically funny to Venku.
In the end, all he had left was to paint the armor. He spent months agonizing over what to paint it, eventually going for a stylized sunburst pattern. Lines on the helmet painted in an ash grey and the outline of his visor painted a dusty red, in memory of his mother. Almost as soon as he finished his armor, Venku fled the Mandalorian system, his brother staying behind to help their people, promising he'd call in a favor and ask someone to meet Venku on the nearby planet Taris.
