Venting about RCA/MICROSOFT

(Forgive me for the oversized size of the below message.)

RCA - And why you shouldn't buy them.

REASON ONE: IF YOU HAVE AN RCA TABLET RUNNING WINDOWS EIGHT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO RESET IT, AND BELIEVE ME I HAVE TRIED.

REASON TWO: FOREIGN CUSTOMER SERVICE WHO CAN BARELY UNDERSTAND YOU.

REASON THREE: SEE PREVIOUS.

REASON FOUR: RCA'S PRODUCTS NORMALLY ARE DEFECTIVE IN SOME WAY, SHAPE OR FORM.

Bottomline? RIGHT NOW REALLY FRUSTRATED WITH RCA, and MICROSOFT.

IF ANY OF YOU KNOW HOW TO DO A FACTORY RESET OF AN RCA Tablet WITHOUT logging in to it, or needing to reset the password please let me know post haste.

Big text is big.

If you have a full-sized USB port, plug in a keyboard. As you press the restart button, hold the SHIFT key on the keyboard. This should take you to the Advanced Settings screen. You should be able to choose to Reset your device from there. There should be two options, one will reset without erasing data (and will require password), the other will fully erase your device and reinstall the OS from the factory image. Please note that all your internally-stored data will be removed with this method.
