BACKGROUND

:// Imperium Records show Suun Verity was born to Suun Ji and Vaal Tes in the Solar Year 8671. A respected family name, Verity was afforded some of the best education the Imperium had to offer with high career expectations. Typical of her family's station there was little time for the sort of upbringing other Galactic occupants seemed to feel were 'normal' for children. Bonds were formed between members of one's class or in rivals with opposing classes. Personal time between assignments allowed team mates to explore more leisurely activities, but careful observation was maintained at all times for deviant behavior.

Early career accomplishments included routing Obscura Res from Valor Prime, extraction of Imperium Princess Novus from Quadrant Indigo, and the defense of Outpost 37 at the Blighted Nebula. For her unerring fulfillment of her duties, Suun Verity was given the command of her own ship. Her efforts reflected well on the Star of Suun.

Recently, as a result of her stalwart service, Astrum Suun was tasked with venturing outside of the borders of the Imperium. Of late the Obscura Res have demonstrated a surprising technological capability not previously possessed, and certain Gravitae -- Lords and Ladies -- of the Imperium are concerned they are receiving outside support. Previously, their internal matters were expected to be just that; being so remote from the wider galactic community their wars and concerns had nothing to do with the Imperium. If the balance of power had shifted, the Emperor expected to have conclusive evidence to that effect and a plan to counter the growing threat.

:// Suun Verity is a reliable member of the Imperium. Capable of leading those under her command, she makes use of the resources at her disposal to accomplish mission objectives. Some have praised her capability for unorthodox thinking in high-stress situations.

There have been no known infractions involving loyalty to the Emperor of the Imperium to date.

:// Off the record, Suun has demonstrated a surprising ability to adapt on the battlefield, even engaging in unorthodox maneuvers other commanders have at times questioned carrying the Imperium's honor. Her concern over the well-being of her crew, and advocating for time to recover from extended engagements, has not earned her many admirers among the nobles, but the crew's moral and efficiency seem to support such measures. The decision to place her in command of the Aether -- perhaps the largest and most ambitious vessel built by the Imperium -- was split with the Emperor settling the matter. It is this Inspector's opinion the Emperor recognized the perils ahead for the crew's mission far away from what is familiar, and far from any hope for support, and chose such an adaptable person that was proven to watch over their crew.
