STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Adept: Verros is a quick study, and can typically learn a new skill much faster than the average being.
Tinker: Verros has a knack for tinkering with droids and other electronics.
Charismatic: Verros will often try to talk his way out of a situation, rather than fight.
Pazaak: Verros is an excellent Pazaak player.
Blinded by the Light: Verros is nearly blind due to his Miralukan heritage, requiring a special visor to see properly. Without it, the most detail he can make out is vague blurs, amidst a massive headache.
Weak Fighter: Verros does not posses the martial prowess his parents did. His knowledge of lightsaber techniques is limited exclusively to defense.
Lost: Verros has lost his way in life. After losing his family on Ilum, he has no purpose or direction, which lends itself to self-destructive behavior.
APPEARANCE:
Verros stands about six foot tall with dark brown hair. Typically, his eyes are covered by a custom made visor that enables him to see. His face bears the marks of ancient Sith Tattoos, though these have faded greatly over the years. Only the smallest hints remain. His appearance is often unkempt, waiting until several days of scruff has accumulated before shaving. Around his neck he wears a broken amulet that he guards with his life. The origins of this amulet are unknown, but it appears vaguely Rakatan in nature. His neck is also marred by a large scar, faded with time, but still clearly showing a grievous wound to his throat.
BIOGRAPHY:
Verros, born under a different name, grew up without a mother. He was born to wealthy parents on Nar Shadda, but for all the work they did, his mother could not be saved. Officially, she was placed within a medically induced coma until a cure for her condition could be located. Verros' father was a strict man, but cared for the boy immensely. The two became very close over the years, in spite of Verros' father frequently leaving for business. Verros was primarily raised by a family friend, who would watch over him while his father was away on business. Then one day Verros learned the truth. His father was Sith.
It had come time for him to become one of their kind as well, a chance which he eagerly took. Verros had always envisioned himself surpassing his Father, and saw this as the perfect means to do so. His years in the academy were grueling, but his determination was strong. His contact with his Father lessened, as his Father sought to keep their relationship a secret, for fear of one being attacked to manipulate the other. Verros was poised to pass the final trials with flying colors, but he received terrible news. Amidst the war he was training to fight, his Father had been killed. Verros spent two weeks recovering from the results of his grief, finally returning to his training nearly a month later.
Then, everything began to change. He was summoned to the capital. His father was alive after all. And he bore news: Verros's Mother was well again. She, too, was among the ranks of the Sith. And so, Verros went to meet his mother. She formally took him as her apprentice, and began teaching him the ways of the Sith Sorcerers. She was, however, a cruel and punishing master, and Verros began to resent her. He never spoke ill of her, not to his father, not to the people his mother led, not to anyone. But the resentment grew. Until that fateful day at Ilum. When his father was slain by his own hand. From that day, Verros cast aside the Sith. If this was what it meant to be Sith, he desired no part of it. He turned his back on his mother, and he ran. For days, he ran. Days turned to weeks, weeks turned to months. In truth, Verros has little memory of his time on the run. He simply knows that he is better off away from the Sith. He gave up his lightsaber, the mark of a Sith, and seeks to live among the common people. With his father dead, and the only family he had known destroyed, Verros soon turned to drinking and gambling, looking for something, anything, to numb the pain...
