The cybernetics are composed of two major parts. The first is a rigid, artificial throat attachment that automatically filters air in and out, irrespective of the mouth and nostrils, pulling it directly into the windpipe and towards the lungs. This attachment also contains some slightly more flexible polymer fiber tubing to allow for nutrients to be swallowed and go to the stomach, or water to be drunk. The second part is a set of neuro-integrated muscles made from flexible metal fiber, which adhere to the bone and skin and allow for the motion of limbs in place of atrophied muscles.
Strengths:
- Durability: The metal form of the cybernetics does not fray or tear without extreme stress. It absorbs shock with more ease than most muscles.
- Strength: The muscles provide a high degree of physical strength.
- Rigid: The cybernetics do not provide any advantages with respect to agility or speed. Rather, they provide motion that might be considered subpar to the ordinary individual, with a slight delay between thought and action
- Heavy: If disabled or rendered inoperative, the cybernetics weight effectively immobilizes the user.
- Ion Vulnerability: Certain electromagnetic disturbances and EMP attacks disable the cybernetics.
- Dependency: Breathing becomes incredibly difficult without operating cybernetics.
- Stress: The muscles' power causes tearing at one's skin and bones due to the force being exerted, requiring moderation to avoid severe damage.
DESCRIPTION
When he was shipped back to Lorrd, Antherion was stranded on the border between life and death. Ravaged by the Dark Side corruption that came from channeling fell entities, and dying from the act of using the Force to desperately cling to life, Antherion was rapidly deteriorating in every way possible. For once, his fate was entirely out of his hands. Perhaps that is for the best -- some people might rather die than go through what happened next.
The scholars feared retaliation for his death, above all else, as he had grossly overstated his connection to Darth Voracitos to stake his claim as 'Hand of the Shadow Emperor'. The cutting edge of medical research was put into practice, working to buoy his life to the physical world, and keep his spirit in the body he so hated.
The throat was the crudest, fastest job done. Although later replaced by a smooth covering, the placeholder tubing lead to clotting and scarring that rendered the man incapable of natural speech. A synthesizer would later be put in, allowing him to produce a variety of tones, but most of them had a harsh, metallic grating to them. He has come to enjoy how this unsettles those around him.
He needed to be restrained as his skin was being peeled away to make room for synthetic muscle fiber. These steel cords needed to be carefully calibrated to meld with the existing muscle (what little there was) and not rip itself to pieces, the skin over it to shreds, or the bones out of their sockets.
While moving, there is a slight delay between thought and action that makes fighting somewhat impractical. Although incredible strength is allowed for, as well as an unusual degree of damage resistance, Ion and EMP attacks render them heavy and useless, paralyzing the owner.
