STRENGTHS
- Fast: As its name suggests, the Vev StarThrust is a fairly fast starship thanks to its oversized fusial thrust ion engines.
- Awkward Weapons Placement: The StarThrust was designed around its massive engine systems, which has led its weapons to be slightly awkwardly placed, with its laser cannons having some noticeable blindspots in their portside fire arcs.
Another shameless attempt to edge into CEC's traditional market, the Vev StarThrust is actually an original design from the company that still clearly shows much influence from the famed YT-series line in its basic layout. More unusually though, the StarThrust has some truly oversized fusial ion engines that provide the craft with much more speed than the average freighter. Advertised as a "fast courier", the StarThrust is clearly one of the fastest stock light freighters around. While not heavily armed in its stock form, all of the weapons and most of its components use typical CEC modular hardpoint mounts, making it very easy to modify. This ease of modification and its high speed tends to attract the interest of the less than legal crowd. Unsurprisingly, the Vev StarThrust is not an uncommon smuggling vessel and illegal racer, which CorelliSpace almost tacitly admits was the original intent behind the design.
