Strengths & Weaknesses

It can be said that the Vheh'yaim-type Station fulfills its role very well. However, in doing so, it is vastly specialized and does not serve any other purpose. This, in turn, has resulted in a number of outstanding "drawbacks" that any discerning customer will have to take into consideration:

To begin, the Vheh'yaim-type Station is exceptional at comfortably housing civilians/refugees in areas typically uninhabitable. (+) However, the absence of hyperdrive technology means that installation is a very slow and costly experience. (-) On a different note, the Vheh'yaim has been equipped with the means to withstand common, terrestrial and extraterrestrial threats; such as debris impacts, radiation, etc. (+) Yet, despite being able to weather base kinetic and energy impacts, the Station lacks military-grade shields or hull plating. Therefore, it lacks the ability to withstand military-grade offenses. (-) However, the absence of military-grade equipment creates the space required to accommodate approximately ten thousand residents. (+) Yet, despite this ability, the Vheh'yaim cannot survive without national/corporate support (i.e. regular imports, defense, and so on.) (-)

Description

"In the beginning, the citizens of Echoy'la lived in squalor.

Trapped, were they, between a gas giant and her desolate moons. Bereft, were they, of all freedoms save servitude to the late Sith Empire and Primeval. When finally they were liberated due to the collapse of said nations, the people were able to piece together some semblance of a home. However. How could I, their Mand'alor, stand idly by and watch them live in ramshackle homes? How could I, their Reclaimer, do nothing for those I have sworn to provide for?

Simply put, I couldn't. Thus did the Vheh'yaim-type Station come to be.

At first, I had thought to construct suitable dwellings for the survivors of Echoy'la where they had been held. However, why accept barren asteroids when a perfectly good gas giant was right around the corner? The design teams of Arakyd Industries drew inspiration from the famous Cloud City when drafting Vheh'yaim: and the result was something that could take advantage of seemingly uninhabitable terrain. Standing at exactly nine hundred meters, the finished product is intended to sit within the heavens...or, above the heavens if necessary. Exceptional repulsorlifts paired with top-of-the-line engines provide the Vheh'yaim-type Station with the ability to easily, and safely, reside within (and outside) an atmosphere.

Yet this is just the beginning. What truly matters is what lies inside.

A Station is partitioned into four distinct levels, with two appearing as tremendous "rings" when looked upon externally. Each "ring" is a carefully planned domicile for intended residents. The uppermost, and largest, of the rings has been characterized by an exceptional number of dwellings. In particular, ten thousand civilians can reside with a degree of comfort within this level. The lower ring, however, is much smaller in scale and is specifically designed to accommodate the crew that keep the vessel operating. Between the residential "rings" are numerous levels. Some serve purposes typical of capital-scale vessels (such as life support, power, etc.) Whilst others serve the purpose of making life...liveable aboard the vessel. One can find base amenities and comforts on these levels; and these can be customized depending upon whom utilizes the vessel.

In brief, the survivors of Echoy'la can find a new home in the skies above their gas giant. They deserve as much. No. They deserve so much more...and this is just the beginning."

Very interesting use of Thermal Tekonite, no red flags, no size-related mandatory dev, three firm limitations, and pretty much vanilla civvy across the board. All it's got going for it is population (not egregious) and the ability to dock smallish ships. I don't see a problem here. All yours.
