APPEARANCE:
Vher Nall is better described as a beast than a sentient man. He has black eyes and rough, dark gray skin covered in scars; the most distinct being three slashes across his chest and two cutting diagonally across his left eye. His claws are grown out sharper than the few of his race that remain, his teeth sharpened to make his entire body a weapon. Before his capture he had heavy durasteel plated armor.
BIOGRAPHY:
The Dashade, Vher Nall, has neither recollection of his parents or anything close to a normal childhood; instead he was brought up by a traveling band of mercenaries called the Voxyn Fangs, raised to be a killing machine. Between his natural predilection for combat and the Voxyn's conditioning, his every waking thought had become focused solely on the next hunt. He is a man without a home and while not well educated in academic fields, has become quite well acquainted with the twisted underbelly of life in the galaxy. Kill after kill; hunt after hunt, his ability to resist the supernatural powers of the force became apparent to the Voxyn, which only furthered their reputations as they had a creature capable of combating the force wielders of the galaxy.
In time, Vher Nall came to see the Fang as more of hindrance than an asset. They mistook Vher's thirst for a greater and greater hunt as their own control over him. A mistake he would rectify when killing off his old crew while in pursuit of a young Gray Jedi. He managed to track down and end the Gray on his own, after which he returned to the Voxyn Fang's ship and finished its crew. While not the most capable pilot, living aboard the transport his whole life exposed Vher the basics.
Taking up the contracts of Voxyn's former clients provided Vher with adequate prey, but none that truly filled the void inside him. He longed for a true hunt. Still, to continue his search for the greatest of prey he needed a functioning ship and therefore credits. Starting from the top, he chased after many a rogue force adept as well as gang leaders and the like. Republic, Empire, Confederacy, Alliance, Jedi, Sith, they were all the same. Providers and prey.
Despite his lack of education, Vher wasn't completely lacking of an inquisitive mind. He looked into the history of his own rare species, the Dashade and found an old title befitting his station. He was a self proclaimed Shadow Killer. Done hunting the smaller and weaker rogues of the various cults and practitioners of the force, Vher used his growing renown to pave the way to stronger enemies, ones more honed in on their skills and capable in their abilities. His arrogance proved to be his greatest mistake.
Taking on a contract from the Sith Empire, Vher was to eliminate a Jedi Master by the name of Tarren Sayio. Vher Nall would assist an advancing force of Imperials and attack the Nyriaan where the New Republic and its Jedi allies were harvesting a supply of madilon. From there he would hunt Master Sayio. The Republic and Imperial forces engaged one another while Vher tracked his Jedi prey. The Dashade found his foe deep within a mining facility coordinating a retreat, while his Republic allies evacuated the area Tarren stayed and battled Vher Nall. Underestimating the difference in power between a Jedi Master and those he faced in the past, Vher was defeated and left unconscious, but alive.
Vher Nall wasn't sure where it was he awoke or how he got there, but when he came to he found himself within the inner workings of large coliseum. Stripped of his gear he stood across a rack of primitive weapons and armor, as well as a devastating shock collar Vher around his neck. The Dashade was to be a spectacle. A combatant. A gladiator.
The self-proclaimed Shadow Killer had been defeated and was now made to entertain on a world unknown. His immediate response was to resist and escape. He was more than capable of breaking the reinforced shock collar, clearly his captors underestimated him, but having a minuscule view of combat in the arena through the antiquated planks of metals and woods that build the base of the coliseum, he resigned himself to fight. It was soon after his Keeper; Arius Halcorr arrived and explained his situation. Having failed his mission the Empire sold him to Arius who provided entertainment to the people of the smog world Affavan. Unsure of the extent of Arius' resources or how vast the coliseums defenses were Vher decided not to kill him and instead to bid his time while doing the one thing he knew how, fight.
