PERSONALITY:
Victoria Cross exemplifies the pride of an Arkanian. Fully convinced that Arkanians are and will continue to be the height of evolution, primarily through their minds. And fully expects that further advancements will be made of their own kind in time, even if only as temporary additions to suit their time. This is also part of how she willingly uses stims and adrenals to boost her abilities without considering this any acceptance of inferiority, rather just a matter of practical means of correcting the physical imbalance, via means of the mental one.
In spite of these, she doesn't slack off of her work. Putting her own mind and abilities to work in whatever way she deems best. Be it in service to the Cross family, or herself. And in spite of her pride, she often keeps herself from the top spot. Leaving that position to one of her older brothers. Though one can be sure were they not themselves Arkanian, she would not consider this acceptable unless she was pulling the strings.
But pride and scholarly investment ends her arkanian ways, as Victoria often forgoes the manners of an arkanian outside of her people. Deception, manipulation, and insults, are all acceptable so long as they achieve some goal to her. At least, as far as it applies to others.
APPEARANCE:
A healthy woman of average height, white hair and skin, and light blue eyes. She often carries herself casually and may be seen with some level of smile most of the time. Even in anger she may smile, though it's not some disguise, as the anger is rarely hidden in such a case.
BIOGRAPHY:
Victoria Cross was one of the children of Asher Cross, and a younger sister to Damien Cross and
Allen Cross
. Although not as inherently capable in the leadership department it would seem, or as devoted, Victoria could put her work elsewhere. Ensuring she remained somewhat competent in biological sciences, mainly so that she could really make use of stims and adrenals to fill in the physical gaps they'd have with more physically focused species, or even those who were just more capable. Along with this, she found herself working as a sort of enforcer/organizer of her own. Preferring indirect routes or agreements, but quite willing to take to fighting where needed. Victoria dealt in sapient stocks, making deals by favors, debts, and collective goals. This could help reduce costs on the Cross family by making use of external resources to get results without simply hiring them.
This was not enough to make her a viable heir, along with her lack of real passion for that position, and youth, but it was enough that she had a place that meant more than just 'younger sister of the head of the Cross family' or daughter of the previous head. She had a range of skills, and was willing to use any of them.
Due to struggles within the family business, Victoria has begun to reach out more outside of it. Leaving more of its authority to the rest of them and leaving her more room to grow on her own. It was during this that she came up with Alternative Acquisitions, a business following her own personal line of actions. Deals, debts, favors, and mutual interests. Now people had a company they could go to to ask for for almost anything they want. Keeping themselves anonymous if they wanted. You had a factory but no product, or trouble advertising, Alternative Acquisitions could find someone who needs it. And the people to transport it. They acted effectively as a third party management system. Never the real boss or seller, never the real customer, but always beneficial and always getting a cut
