- Like his kin, Vik is graceful in movement and light of foot which serves him well in the hunt or when the need to be silent is paramount

APPEARANCE:
A handsome man with refined features of the face, all dressed in a mop of dark hair curly and flowing around his shoulders. Vik is of Aelvar build, lean and athletic in his body standing tall with bearing in his shoulders. His mother, a Ranger of the Royal Guard has passed on her natural ability of huntress to her son, he has a keen eye with the bow and stealth in his movement. Of her appearance it is only her hair and pointed ears that shows any sign of her design in him, otherwise he is the mirror image of his father.
Off Midvinter, Vik blends in to the crowd sporting casual clothing, a hat to hide his Aelvar ears and sun glasses to help hide his eyes .. he even wears them at night.
BIOGRAPHY:
Some twenty or more years ago, his mother met a man, or at least she thought as much, in a thick forest to the north of Midvinter. Eva had been on mission with Lord Eregon scouting the north to find the Vinterbound and kill any that they come across, in the continual attempt to rid the scourge from the land. This man was handsome, charming and soon won her heart, at least for the night and they spent the eve together until the morning light blanketed the forest floor and he was gone.
Eva gave birth to her son Vik, and in the months that followed, deep in the forest of Averlorn by the Lake, she cared for him and loved him. He, like his father, was handsome even as a newborn, the features so akin to the strange mysterious man of the forest .. she never knew is name. But Eva loved her son, provided for him as best she could but there was something different about him, his eyes so pure with innocents sparkled with light even when there was none, could see much more than she knew. It is through his eyes that Vik can piece the heart and soul of anyone he meets and know their deepest secrets. This, in later life, would become his burden.
As Vik grew, he became more isolated from the rest of his kin, preferring to seek the company of the creatures of the forest or the forest itself, for they do not hold secrets. Eva's lovely boy became unapproachable, awkward in company and soon he lost his friends because of this social circumstance. But for Vik, knowing his friends secrets, for good or bad, destroyed any ability to sit in their company. And so, he would spend most of his days in the woods and traveling outside of the woodland realm. Although he loved his homeland he felt more of a connection to the mountain ranges, the snow and ice and the bleakness of it all. There was something renewing in it, a rebirth that started and ended with the great frost.
