VILKA KELDRA

BACKGROUND

Vilka's story is as colourful as a Sephi-Royal-turned-Jedi's can be.

A member of the Royal House of Keldra from Thustra, Vilka grew up much like her cousin Vemric Keldra, in the lap of luxury and sophistication and with top notch education. Her Force-Sensitivity was discovered early on, however. Sent to the Jedi Enclave on Thustra, she immediately started learning their ways.

All the while, the Plague ravaged the Galaxy.

Thustra wasn't exactly unaffected, but it weathered it as well as it could. Eventually, however, the Galaxy saw the light of day with the quiet dissolution of the Virus. With this new growth, came more Jedi in the form of the Silvers. In order to hone her skills even more, Vilka was sent to Kashyyyk to learn from the Order directly.

She stayed with them until the dissolution of the Concord and the attack on the Order. By this time, she had long since reached the rank of Master and was an accomplished Seer and mental bulwark within the Order. While some of her fellow Silver Jedi left on the Ancilla, Vilka was one of the Masters who had stayed for a time alongside other Masters like Caltin Vanagor .

Eventually, however, she and some others, among which her newly Knighted Padawan at the time, Yennic Zhan, left to expand into the Galaxy, wishing to rebuild destroyed Enclaves, such as the Jakku Enclave alongside Romi Jade . They based an Enclave named after the First Jedi on Koboh from which to operate from as they brought healing within the Galaxy in the wake of the Second Great Hyperspace War.

After some time, as Yennic was a Master in her own right now, left to establish an extension of the Enclave on Ahch-To. Not long after, more tragedy happened on the Galaxy. The Dark Empire took control of key Core worlds, including Tython, causing many to flee the area to sanctuaries like Naboo. Since then, to Vilka's disappointed, the Imperial presence remained uncontested in the heart of Alliance space, threatening Galactic economy and the safety of millions. Instead the Senate fled to Fondor, seemingly abandoning Coruscant in its greatest hour of need. All Vilka could do was work with Lea Vi who had been instilled as a pseudo Planetary Governor to open Koboh's doors to those in need.

Eventually, a new Confederacy established itself in Wild Space, highly motivated to promote stability and prosperity in the region while enabling worlds to retain their sovereignty. Since then, Koboh and Vilka was able to provide even more aid in general.

It was this arrangement that eventually put the Sephi Master in contact with an organisation known as The Foundation. Its humanitarian-driven philosophy was what drew her in. Always wishing to help those in need, she joined the organisation, and just in time too, as crisis hit Hapes. Many within the organisation worked diligently to ensure the medical care, evacuation and sanctuary of thousands caught in the crossfire between royal forces, the Crimson Veil and the Alliance.

It was while working with the Foundation, that she learned that it wasn't just focused on helping people in some shape or form, but also enabling them to fight for their own freedom while aiding them in what way it could.

Since then, Vilka moved between the Conclave on Koboh and wherever need called for her expertise. After witnessing the amount of tragedies that had wrought through the Galaxy in her century and a half, the Sephi has an innate want to bring about a just stability within the Galaxy as well as the relative safety of the people. While she did not always agree with some of the rebellious methods, ultimately the Foundation ensured that those that were hard-pressed to care for themselves, were cared for by others allied with the organisation. It was with those ideals that Vilka aligned.

Now, she actively works especially with the humanitarian part of the organisation, while also lending her saber and other skills when the need called for it. ​

PERSONALITY

Vilka is an exceptionally patient woman with a wealth of wisdom befitting her age. She spends a lot of her time teaching the younger generation and imparting her immense knowledge onto them.

She prefers not to fight, rather aiming to resolve something through dialogue, but when the need calls for it, her wrath and skill with a blade and the Force is something to behold. Her gift as Seer is a heavy burden, however. She can often be found lost in thought, contemplating the visions imparted on her - whether action is required or not.

Despite her almost regal presence, she also exudes a calm aura and a caring, compassionate nature. When she's not teaching, she is aiding those in need in troubled areas. She's the kind of Jedi that would step between the oppressed and the oppressor and either resolve the situation through dialogue or cut down the oppressor when dialogue fails. ​

STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES

STRENGTHS
​

+Seer- Vilka is gifted with Foresight. Quite often, especially with tragedy, she can see what will transpire before it does, enabling her to prepare herself and her allies one way or another.
+Healer - In the long time she had walked the Galaxy, she had perfected the skill of Force Healing. She can heal most wounds. As a Sephi in her prime, she has more than enough vitality to see to grave wounds.
+Patient - Vilka has immense patience when it comes to teaching Padawans or helping people in need. There's not much that will rattle or rush her, unless it's life or death.
+Wise - With her time in the Galaxy, Vilka has built enough wisdom to prepare her for most situations. Nothing really surprises her anymore as she's been there and done that already. She can also make measured decisions in situations that may unseat others.
+Mental strength - A lot of Vilka's power comes from her mental prowess. She perfected the art of long-distance telepathic communication. She is also incredibly skilled in mental resistance and mind manipulation when the need calls for it.
+Calming presence - Vilka has an inherent aura of calm. Her being brings peace to most beings and creatures when she puts her mind to it.
+Slumbering Tempest - Though she may not seem like it at first glance, the Sephi is a blademaster and formidable Force Master. When she really has to, she can fight and fight exceptionally well, fully capable of channeling the Force and using it offensively. She's had ample time to all but perfect most skills.

WEAKNESSES

-Seer - Visions can take their toll on Vilka. She can be weighed down by what she had seen. These visions can also strike suddenly without warning, sometimes incapacitating her.
-Ultimate Darkness - Vilka walks firmly in the Light and though she can wield it quite good, as a Light being, she is still vulnerable to extreme Dark Side influences and can be overwhelmed by an extremely Dark and powerful being.
-Compassion - She has a lot of compassion for beings and this can be used against her. As with many other Jedi, hanging a sword over their necks by threatening the lives of beings would get her to comply in some way.
