STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES :

+ She is cunning to the point of being manipulative, often pretending to be shallow and self-centered (well, more self-centered than she already is) in order to trick folks into underestimating her.

- Having a Hapan mother means that her night vision has shot craps from birth. While not as bad as her mother's is, Vinatia can only see in the dark if there is a strong source of light (I.e. a very full, very bright moon or a high-powered spotlight).

+ Horses, nerfs, banthas, you name it -- Vinatia is an adept at equestrian stuff.

- Despite the doting she'd received from her mother, Vinatia remains jealous of her older brother, Fenri -- especially with him getting the better deal for most of his life. Similarly, she not only resents her father for showing favouritism towards her brother, but also has a need to get him to finally give her more attention than Fenri.

+ Since her mother can't let go of the female-dominated monarchy of Hapes, Vinatia was forced to learn as much as possible about various weapons (both personal and bigger) in the chance that she'd have to know how to wield one.

- Vinatia hates school and learning about things (memorizing the weaponry was absolute torture), particularly history, which means she certainly wouldn't be the one to avoid repeating the past, nor would she recognize any references to it.

BIOGRAPHY:

Vinatia was born the younger of two children, the oldest being her brother Fenri. Being a part of a rich family meant that the children had tutors and enjoyed a pampered life.

While they were still young, the two played together and shared secrets, but as they aged the bond they had formed began to fray. It especially did not help that her father groomed Fenri to be his heir despite Vinatia's protests that he was not suitable.

It wasn't until her father, Arigmian Blackwood, named Fenri as his heir anyway that Vinatia truly became vengeful. She turned to her mother for help, and Elysa became to teach her daughter as she would have for the Hapes Consortium. It was then that Vinatia learned about weapons, and how to be deceitful (among other things), and began plotting how best to take over her brother's claim.

When Fenri was 29 and Vinatia was 26, their uncle (and Arigmian's brother) [member="Tasgetius Blackwood"] approached the family, revealing both their relation and the fact that he was building an empire. The family accepted, and Vinatia (with help from her mother) set about garnering power and proving her worth.
